$30 Million for Trump's "Vanity Parade Nothing Compared to $5.6 Trillion Spent on War Since 2001

Jon Queally, staff writer

A mere drop in the bucket in terms of wasteful spending by the U.S.

#2

This is something the American sheeple and a pusillanimous (“what wars?”) congress can really get behind.

#3

Job opening advertisement. Military, Americas job program.

#4

So who’s organizing the Peace parade?

“$30 Million for “Trump’s Vanity Military Parade” Nothing Compared to $5.6 Trillion Spent on Endless War Since 2001”

More proof of the insanity of the government and their LACK OF RESPECT for “We the People” as taxpayers! I did NOT approve my helping pay for a fucking military parade NOR TERMINAL WAR!!!

NOW CAN WE HAVE THAT REVOLUTION???!!!

#7

Well, this is what other dictatorships, like North Korea and other totalitarian regimes have done and do all the time, including the Third Reich, so why should the Fourth Reich be any different? Especially, since Amerika now has its own wanna be dictator of the Fourth Reich!

#8

Didn’t you know this IS an Orwellian, peace parade? It’s theme will probably be: PEACE THROUGH STRENGTH!

#9

Total Cost…135 Trillion Dollars. Don’t worry, it’s fake money.

100,000’s of lives lost or destroyed, you cannot a dollar sign on that.

This is a great example of why the “founder’s” didn’t want a standing army and wrote the 2nd Amendment.

Such spending by the Soviet Union bankrupt the country, it fell apart and thus we have Russia today. Think Afghanistan.

The loss to our countries well being and standard of living is obvious. This has bankrupt the country economically, spiritually, morally and ethically. This is a true picture of “family values” in America today.

Now’s the time to start planning your local Peace Parade. Find progressive groups in your area to combine forces. Show the ass-hat clown-in-chief what an army of warriors for Peace looks like.

Just asking: when will this narrative of spending on the military be changed to what it really is? Military profits! In other words, why can’t the narrative be changed to: out of the $ 5.6 trillion spent since 9/11, Lockheed’s profits were so many $$$$; Boeing’s profits were were so many $$$$$; Raytheon’s profits were so many $$$$ ect… and this is a list of the people that benefited most from these most egregious war profits. Why is that fact never mentioned?

The psycho moron should be forced to pay for all his golf weekends and the millions he wasted on those, (along with his Cabinet scum wasting millions taxpayer dollars - “17 of trumps Cabinet possess more wealth than 43 MILLION American households”! ) - not to mention his crime-family conflicts of interest using the presidency as a sales tool!. He should NOT even be allowed to spend $30 more millions on his ego-stroke garbage! This is a monstrosity of criminal proportions - the melding of civilian governance (now a sick joke) ad the military/police state is akin to the charade of separation between government and religion!

MoFo’s must pay!

Just remember that in other free societies Trump’s bullcrap would (not) be allowed to stand. Honest Americans are standing by the wayside as the Trump parade rolls over us.
The excess parade for Trump degrades the veterans day celebrations that traditionally take place all over the nation.
If Trump shows his face at this happening it will be a disgrace for the nation, and a tease to the rest of the world. G

The photo of trump and his compliant doxie reviewing a military parade mirrors many other dictators and mental cases like duterte, marcos, erdogan, kim, and many US lap-dog Latin American dictators. Cheap stunt to stroke an ego devoid of any shred of decency or honor!

#15

Really, let’s save the parade for when we declare an end to the war (wars). G

Jail him, jail Pence, Ryan and McConnell and all the corrupt politicians of both parties. Let’s follow the rule of the law, by jailing the supreme court for turning this country into an oligarchy fascist nation. Jail military contractors for consistently overcharging the taxpayers. I could go on and on…

Speaking out about the potential military-industrial complex, Dwight Eisenhower wrote:

“This conjunction of an immense military establishment and a large arms industry is new in the American experience. The total influence – economic, political, even spiritual – is felt in every city, every State house, every office of the Federal government. We recognize the imperative need for this development. Yet we must not fail to comprehend its grave implications. Our toil, resources and livelihood are all involved; so is the very structure of our society.”

“In the councils of government, we must guard against the acquisition of unwarranted influence, whether sought or unsought, by the military-industrial complex. The potential for the disastrous rise of misplaced power exists and will persist.”
-Public Papers of the Presidents, Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1960, p. 1035- 1040

Can we have a parade when Donnie John and his merry band of sycophants go to jail? mmm ?

Thanks for your reply and even though I have read this excellent speech by Dwight Eisenhower many times, it cannot be said enough.

The above prescient quote by Dwight Eisenhower can be edited from potential rise of disastrous and misplaced power to the current rise of disastrous and misplaced power.
