55 Bipartisan Lawmakers Demand Trump Pump Brakes on Military Action in Yemen

" Congress has never authorized the actions under consideration."

I would add, since 1950!

The ONLY role the US should be playing in Yemen is as peacemaker. Use its influence to make the Saudis back off their military campaign and jointly begin to deliver humanitarian aid. The idea of winning people over by true acts of kindness never enters US policymakers' minds, it's alway a question instead of what level of military involvement is appropriate.

Maybe if someone sent Ivanka some pictures of the gaunt bodies of Yemeni chidren she could get her father to act, though I would hope it would not mean sending cruise missiles to Riyadh but instead telling the Saudis to back off, and then entering into peace negotiations while delivering massive amounts of humanitarian aid.
