The DNC is hoping Obama and Bill Clinton will fix the post office because they give such good speeches. Come on Schumer and Pelosi, do something!! Talk is cheaper than it’s ever been, but nobody is buying it.
F**king fascist traitor is the first thing that comes to mind.
the Board of Governors unanimously appointed DeJoy—a major Republican donor to President Donald Trump—in May despite his potential conflicts of interest and complete lack of experience
Sounds like the Board of Governors itself resonates with potential conflicts of interest and a complete lack of experience. Is the Postal Board all mobbed up, too? Our arms of government are steeped in so much corruption, we start taking it for granted. This is what Banana Republicanism looks like. Part of the same message conveyed by Derrick Chauvin this Memorial Day in Minneapolis: Welcome to the Third World!
Republicans are cutting their own throats. How will Jared Kushner and other predatory landlords send eviction notices? How will rapacious banks send foreclosure notices? How will nasty lawyers send their threats and notices via certified mail? They are all going to have to rely on very expensive courier services or Fed. Ex.-not cheap. Because of the virus Fed Ex doesn’t do signatures.
The Post Office is the most well liked government agency (except for some who work there, it is pretty stressful). It was established in the Constitution. Those who don’t support it can truly be labelled, "un-American and even violators of their oath of office to support the Constitution.
The entire USPS Board of Governors are trump appointees - those 9 then appoint the PM General (dejoy), and those 10 appoint the deputy PMG thus all 11 are trump republicon tools
23 pre-existing executives were apparently not so malleable were removed and replaced by other trump/dejoy stooges.
Thanks for making me feel like throwing up. What’s the point of submitting demands to the mafia?
Forget DeAsshole, insist that all removed sorting machines be returned in excellent working order and do it now than fire the asshole.
According to a Commons correspondent, someone already left them out in the rain, behind the Cleveland office – I think it was. Other sorting machines could be swimming with the fishes by now.
You have coined a great phrase!
If there is a ‘Board of USPS Governors’ who can do THAT
THEY need to be FIRED NOW for allowing this to happen in the first place
It came to me accidentally as I was remembering the expression on Derrick Chauvin’s face as squeezed the life from George Floyd’s body. We’re asking the Board of Governors to please let the Post Office breath, or at least check the vital signs. They stare back blankly, as if to ask “How do you like it, slave?”
This is what a Banana Republic feels like.
The USPS BOG traditionally is appointed and serves at the “pleasure” of the prez - in this case trump. The next prez will have their say.and appointments
therefore - the title should be
90 house Democrats are Barking at the Moon today
A demand to do the right thing, however unlikely to be adopted, is preferable to doing nothing - it is if nothing else, politic, and may move the public.
Exactly what I was thinking. That means about 140, didn’t.
And that is how the next four years will go folks. Get used to it.
The removal of sorting machines, a dead giveaway of true intentions.
He will tell you, and expect somebody to believe, that he is trying to create jobs.
There you go.
“Banana Republicanism,” worthy of Andy Borowitz. Well done!
In rural America we call that watching the turnip truck roll by and seeing some fall off.
