A Call to Halt an Illegal Invasion of Venezuela

A Call to Halt an Illegal Invasion of Venezuela

Kevin Tillman

It seems like every time I pick up a newspaper or go online, our country is starting another war. As a veteran of both the Iraq and Afghanistan wars, I am consumed by the situation in Venezuela, which is becoming more and more concerning.

For a good primer on the US’ propaganda machine for war check out the Committee for Public Information (1917-1919) that was established to drum up support for US involvement in The Great War (the war to end all wars). Headed by George Creel, it was tasked with informing every American how they could/should contribute to the war effort. Sigmund Freud’s nephew, Edward Bernays (see Propaganda, 1928), helped to dehumanize the Germans as Huns in order to make their elimination more palatable to the Americans. Colonel House, Woodrow Wilson’s closest advisor started the ball rolling. With the public weaponized, the pump of empire was fully primed. Except for a few coughs and spurts, best exemplified by the experience in Viet Nam et al., the propaganda machine rolls on morphing from this to that as needed. Video games? Flyovers at football games? Recruiting trailers at the movies? Mindless repetition of “Support the Troops”? Sound Familiar. Red or Blue pill only. There is no white (neutral) pill in The Matrix. Only Information or Ignorance (usually willful). Let’s pick and choose carefully, folks.

Thank you Kevin Tillman for your article. It is nice to see that people learn from their mistakes. The ‘mistake’ I am referring to, is joining the military in the false belief that you were defending America or spreading democracy.
I am not sure if the U.S. will actually invade Venezuela, but if the U.S. does, each and every politician who supports the illegal invasion must be tried for war crimes. Naturally that doesn’t happen in an imperial nation hell bent on seizing other countries resources, yet many more Americans are waking up to the fact that the U.S. is an evil empire.
I expect that any popular presidential candidate will be quickly snuffed out by the corrupt political process (the Democrat and Republican primaries) and we will be forced to either vote for one of two corporate lackies or just stay at home and watch sports instead. Therefore it is important for people like yourself to join one or both Party’s and try to remove the corruption from within the Party to make it representative of the 99%. The real battlefield is not in the deserts of Iraq or the oil fields of Venezuela, but here at home as we try to cleanse our government of the corruption and cynical corporate greed that has caused so much global suffering.
I applaud you for reaching out to people with your own story of how American imperialism has failed us all.

Tillman sez:
No matter how ridiculous the coordinated event sounds, history has shown that these gambits for power can and do work.”

I once thought the Marx Brothers’ Duck Soup portrayed the most ridiculous possible rollout of a revolution. That was before “Moe” Bolton, “Larry” Pompeo and “Curly” Abrams got their mitts on Freedonia — er, Venezuela.

and any more than they care about the 99% within USA itself.

Thank you, Kevin Tillman, for your voice for reason and against imperialism.

The first round was certainly Duck Soup but no matter; they’ll keep on trying.

While Kevin Tillman’s article was welcomed in our time of 99% controlled narratives and worldwide staged productions, I will only criticize as follows:

Don’t use caveats, for they mainly serve the Lying/Opposing side by way of providing obvious cover for the author, while also giving credibility to whatever the current scripted/propagandized focus.

Examples:

  1. “To be clear, this is not an endorsement of Maduro…”
  2. “Venezuelans also are dealing with a politically divided country…”
  3. “In all fairness to members of the Trump administration…”

Beyond that, imagine it’s February 5, 2003: Bill Gates is about to host an #IraqAidLive Concert on the border, before the world (simultaneously presented to the UN) – because WMD were assuredly proven to be hidden in various food storage warehouses. Since these discoveries, he proclaims, their populace is forbidden to eat. As the opening song is about to begin, the following streams across every medium on the planet: “We know where they [Iraq’s WMD] are. They’re in the area around Tikrit and Baghdad and east, west, south, and north somewhat.”

While WindHarps’ admonition is important; still, there’s
no greater voice for truth than a war vet speaking out for peace.

“Yes, Venezuela has problems. Many appear to be self-induced; others are circumstantial, like the massive drop in oil prices”

Nothing circumstantial about it! What justifies the take-over of Yemen, the Khashoggi killing, the donation of nuclear technology …etc

To be clear, I do endorse Maduro.

Here an interesting article. It presents evidence that the riot at the border in Venezuela and the burning of the aid trucks was the work of the OPPOSITION to Maduro. Guaido supporters can be heard on camera setting the whole scene up. They even video themselves making molotov cocktails.

Menwhile the Western press all claim the fires set by Venezuelan soldiers. Guaido has retreated to Colombia.

Who to believe? Given the western media record of false reporting in Iraq, Libya and Syria, why would I believe them?

Next up will be a teary eyed nurse no doubt , claiming Maduro soldiers throwing babies out of incubators.

One more with feeling, I call for Maduro to forcefully and violently end this coup, arrest and execute ALL of the traitors, starting with that little f#$ker Guaido and everyone around him; seize and nationalize all of the industries causing the artificial shortages, executing their owners for treason; arrest and execute anyone in the military supporting the coup attempt; arrest and execute the owners of the media whipping up the coup frenzy, and either nationalize or shut down their stations/publications; eject the officials of all governments supporting the overthrow as spies (which most of them probably are, especially any from the U. S.), and let it be known that the next person who picks up a rock or a gun to cause a riot will end up DEAD, immediately. Make it absolutely clear that this treasonous coup attempt is OVER, period! Unfortunately, after that he will probably have to brace for a direct U. S. invasion of Venezuela, because we don’t give up when it comes to taking oil we want!

Oliver Stone made a documentary called Venezuela On Fire. Well actually it wasn’t Venezuela but so what. Same shit, different country.

I thought the recent footage of a Caracas supermarket was revealing. The problem in Venezuela isn’t socialism, it’s capitalism, and the Supporters of Guaido are the elite wealthy class, the very ones who have created this crisis, while the poor are opposed - not necessarily for Maduro, but definitely opposed to US intervention. Look at the supermarket, I wish we had these in the US.

I think you can generalize that statement to other countries as well.

Everyone at that U.N.meeting must have been insulted. How disgusting it must have been to listen to a top U.S. official make a mountain of far less than a mole hill, and expect the addle brained to suck it up.

Don’t look now, they are already a third of the way into a false flag and we don’t even realize it. Who are the addle brained populace now?

Surprise, surprise, a country having to decide between the lesser of two evils.

Oceania cannot be challenged that directly unless Eastasia and Eurasia join forces.
