A Colorado Ballot Measure Could Make it Nearly Impossible to Ban Fracking

John Light

The Colorado oil and gas industry is poised to strike a devastating blow against anti-fracking activists Tuesday.

So was 1984, so was Brave New World, so was so many other dystopian fiction. At times I feel that the powers that be looked at such works and instead of taking them as a warning, used them as a guidebook.

Thank you for this very accurate accounting of the Oil and Gas industry take over of Colorado. As I have said here before, Gov. Hickenlooper sold us out to the industry years ago. "He once claimed to have joined Halliburton executives in drinking one of the company’s fracking fluids to demonstrate its safety."
This is our so called Democratic Governor. The fight goes on in Colorado against the disgusting fracking everywhere you look. They are trying to end citizen choice with "71" and make it harder to make amendments for the people. Don't be fooled, they will drill next to a school and not care if the water becomes flammable. They are killing our state and our planet with their greed.
Hickenlooper, Polis and Bennet have to go if we expect to make any headway against these killers.
