"A Scandal": After FCC Bent Rules, Right-Wing Sinclair Network to Grow Even Bigger

Deirdre Fulton, staff writer

Creating the nation's largest local TV station conglomerate—and raising the frightening prospect of a network that would rival Fox News—conservative Sinclair Broadcast Group announced Monday it will buy Tribune Media for $3.9 billion.

It is almost a certainty that the average American has little or no idea that the Corporate Coup is taking over our country and setting about to manipulate and ultimately control our democracy. These will be the millions of people who one day will say >>> "What the hell happened? This used to be a free country!"

The people at the FCC know full well that this merger will greatly undermine a free press and will weaken our democracy even further. I almost begin to think that in some near future USA that anyone who cites the Constitution and the Bill of Rights will instantly become the object of suspicion.

How much longer til its just the Tyrell Corporation, Replicants and all?

A multitude of megaphonies

It will be adjusted to reflect the times. and the times wont be good for the little guy

Another scandal overlooked by the GOP sycophant c*&^ suckers. Like DT lies, the more you make, the more confused your audience becomes trying to keep track of them.

I was thinking more of Omni Consumer Products: OCP.

Goebbels' spirit (fantasm) is alive in all its perverse ugliness. If the merger is approved, the FCC literally took several chapters out of Goebbels' treatise on usurping and monopolizing the press to spread the lethal virus of Naziism. What next, anyone who speaks out against the Trump tyranny being remanded (renditioned) to the detention centers here and abroad?

We're f---ed!

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Sinclair Lewis I believe.

Not Sinclair Lewis - a German (?) theologian.

Interestingly enough you had the order correct which is what most people mess up. Socialists then trade unionists then Jews then ...

You got ithe quote right and most people simply wing it and throw in all sorts of groups and often those out of order too!
