Al Qaeda’s Ties to US-Backed Syrian Rebels

Gareth Porter

The new ceasefire agreement between Secretary of State John Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, which went into effect at noon Monday, has a new central compromise absent from the earlier ceasefire agreement that the same two men negotiated last February. What a cluster Fk. Enough with the regime change and interference in sovereign nations. The US should disengage from the Syrian conflict, withdraw all military aid and offer humanitarian aid to the refugees perhaps in camps in Iraq until which time it is safe for them to return home.

Fact. The new leader of ISIS was trained by the US state department and entered the USA several times for that training.

This training ended in 2014.

The US claims he went rogue..

I think Russia is a bit more clued in as to what really happens. The US ties do not extend just to Al Qaeda.
