Somehow we have to chop military spending off at the ankles, at the least. We should be on a military budget (decrease) of 5% every year, or two years. They will know what’s coming and will have to make decisions accordingly into the future military and MIC spending.
That should either shelve things like JEDI or force cuts somewhere else.
We need to fast track toward a budget surplus because as John Fogerty would say, “There’s trouble on the way.” We need some money in the bank, not just I.O.U.'S.

Ankles, knees, waist…

Our spending needs to be based on what we need for defense, not what the MIC deems appropriate for their target profits and shareholder dividends.

But don’t we have to deal with the reality of what could be taken, not just what we would like to cut. LIKE 50%.
