American Society Would Collapse If It Weren’t for These 8 Myths

Consider the real reason for feeling alienated, without hope, captured by a social systems that enslaves minds:
Read the entire comment column, Note that NONE refer to our natural equal relationship to all other living organisms.
Those of us who study biological life are even in general, captive to the erroneous idea that some overproliferated primate omnivore is in some way superior to all other life - so much so that members of that species take for granted that that “all other life and lives” exist only for explooitation, profit, or in the case of essential predators and insects and microorganisms, revenge and targeting for death.
In my earliest memory, having been born next to wildlands, EVERY creature was clearly a self, that mysterious experience which we each claim as our own. That you deny this is the basis of your demented and isolated present experience.

You seek to assuage it by competing with other chimps-with-guns, never accepting that life consists of anything else at all.
I was adopted (literally - he escaped repeatedly from his “rescuers” to share life and shelter from humans with me) by a tragically captive-born wolf. Tragically, because his existence is regarded as illegitimate unless restrained from his nature, subject to farcical law, and human law is in itself constant threat of violence.
Yes, indeed, as one commentor says, the human species is so overreproduced that it infests and destroys EVERYTHING, merely to make more, more of what both oligarchs and poor desire - more stuff and security.
I returned from Yellowstone one day, a small tiny remnant of cold high plateau life. There I had walked in natural wariness and care far from visible cars and humans. No lethal distance-killing tools, no armies of moise and machines.
You erroneously believe that your species is dominant, when in reality you merely live in a moment when it has no effective natural controls, when you can merely call and SWAT teams and the illusion of “real estate” ownership will execute the ancient trees that themselves give you the very oxygen you breathe, or the self-protective bison or water buffalo, who do another version of what you are doing, only WITHOUT the constant primate vengefulness.

Look at all the fictive ideation in which you indulge - Russians, nazis, commies, foreigners - it’s all about other yous, all participating in greed for more, ever more. You Do have full conscious awareness of the problem, only you attempt to find enemies to hue and cry to whomever you regard as your protectors, your private community of taking and execution of all other life.

American society, indeed.
the originals respected and revered all the life around, and felt guilt for any taking of more than was necessary. THEY are American society, they who only elected representatives who spoke for at least 95% of the people, with only the temporarily overaroused and the demented disagreeing. Whenever those who represented the group to others departed from the will of the group, they were ignored, immediately no longer representing. THIS is the type of governance you should accept NO deviation from.
Trade to North Americans meant establishing familial bond, and was MUTUAL giving, NOT scamming for advantage. In fact, those who gave away EVERYTHING they owned, were regarded as the most socially admired. Try that on your “People” magazine world now.

Enough. Why should the present NOT collapse? Why should you support it at all? Because of physical and other skills, I’ve moved adaptively in and outside of this culture. I am no one special, and neither is ANYONE ELSE. We look from eyes, like the fish and octopus I knew, sensed like the deer and wolf and coyote and the turkey vulture who admirably facilitates the change of gone lives into other life.
Out back are some of the last old giant redwood trees, whose adaptative lives span the entirety of most written human civilizations. They, utterly unlike just about ANY human, give and share , cooling the heat, warming the cold and storm. Yet they are regarded as nothing more than hot tubs and fence material by the arrogant primate who has killed over 98% of them.

When you indulge in common dreams, remember Hardin’s “Tragedy of the Commons”, the selfish blind arrogance of too many of you, all choosing to compete and to elevate competition to a permanent social daily effort.

What do you guys think about this? Maybe a start to change. In YouTube search for “What if we replaced politicians with randomly selected people?” TED talk

Myth 0: That the opposite of capitalism is socialism. The opposite of capitalism is sales tax. Socialism is the foundation of capitalism: people cooperating to trade goods and services.

Myth 0.1: That fanatical competicism is good.

Myth 0.2: That the demands for wars and deception starts at the top of corporations and governments, rather than at the checkout.

As for buying happiness: that’s the prevailing cult (if not a close second to fanatical competicism and competitive fanaticisms). Americans don’t really care if their team wins: they only care if they can APPEAR to be more loyal to their team. If something you believe in fails, the cult believes they must believe HARDER.

“Socialism” isn’t “people cooperating to trade goods and services”. “Socialism” is “state ownership of the means of production”

synonyms: leftism, welfarism; More

  • policy or practice based on the political and economic theory of socialism.

  • (in Marxist theory) a transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of communism.
