WASHINGTON - A new analysis finds that coal, oil and gas already under lease on public lands and oceans in the United States will last far beyond the point scientists predict the world will exceed the temperature targets set out in the global climate agreement that was reached in Paris.
Analysis: Leased Fossil Fuels on Public Lands, Oceans Will Be Producing Decades Beyond Paris Climate Targets
Looks like the Paris accords were all for show after all. The big fossil-fuel corpse, the banks that finance them, and their lackeys in government are determined to go on with business as usual even if it means culling the human race by billions of people.
I used to give those folks the benefit of the doubt. Maybe they were unaware of the seriousness of the situation. I don't do that anymore. They are fully aware (Exxon even admitted it!) of what's coming down not just in the next few decades but right now. They think they can survive because of their mobility and technological resources, but they won't. Psychopaths often think they're bullet proof. Sad.
