âDemocrats effort to advance climate policy,â who could give credibility to an author who writes such nonsense?
Democrats expanded drilling, and gave taxpayer funds to enhance oil profits in three out of the last three Democratic administrations.
The world needs AIR, WATER and land for food. We donât need any more oil, or coal, or short sighted and greedy corporations. Remember-----we have the ONE Planet----so donât foul your own nest, Congress!!!
Dump the corporate fossisl with their dirty air, water and coal!!!
this infrastructure bill is to save nuclear power that no private insurance company wants to touchâ
why are we the tax payer cleaning up these toxic sites that private corporate power made $$$$???
this is climate change legislation ???
nothing for solar???
what is a green community???
400 billion for the care industry-----will the CEOâs pay now triple???
fires-floodsâUI endsâpeople being evictedâchildren and seniors live on the streets----a pandemic rages----the bought supreme court is creating vigilante justice----the trump people are ready to storm the Capitol again because they know the truth but canât put their finger on the real culpritâprivate corporate power-
------------------but hey the dems will be back from their two month vacation in a few weeks-----no rush!

-raise the base pay of social security to $1500. a month!
-public optionâyes everyone should have vision-hearing-dental----single payer âcheap ass morons!
-public housingâgreen public starter homes!
I worry this is a back door attempt by nuclear power advocates to get their foot in the door. Remember that the worldâs worse oil spill can be remediated relatively easily compared to the multi 100,000 year periods it would take to clean up a radioactive mess.
Whatever you do, or donât do,
whoever helps, or hurts,
only plays out at the the diminishing line between what is already lost and what can be saved, if anything.
The magnitude of blowback our species has triggered in a geological blink, is nothing short of the grandeur of the supernova that is now visible to the naked eye, for those in the window, that look.
The question of how to correct this is irrelevant, WE canât. The biosphere we are an element of, holds the power of life. Call it the web of life, Gaia, Pachimama, or the oooonnnnnllllyyyyy known location in an iteration of universes, that bears life, your life, every memory you have, comes from the team of living beings that makes your part possible. Life itself can accept levels far below the complexity required for our level of temporal existence, but most of us donât want to loose that, although, there is a lot to be said for simpler existences.
I, for one, prefer to maintain a world that can support not only what I call higher thinking, but a link, the possibility of mUch higher thinking, extreme existing where/when Beauty is experienced above, far above, my current level of comprehension.
I cry tears of my lifeâs bodily fluids for the lost,
may the best of each of us be resurrected in the next iteration.
LOVE
nailed it
Yeah, letâs go for the 80-year extinction to save us from that 1000-year extinction. All the alarmist b.s. is in part whatâs preventing a sane nuclear waste storage solution. The amount of documentation to get anything done in the nuclear industry stands directly in the way of getting anything accomplished at all, and certainly multiplies the human expense for any project.
Corporate Dims like Biden donât double down, they buckle under.
Article: âUS Coast Guard investigating 350 reports of oil spills after Idaâ
Quote from article: On Monday, the New Orleans-based NOLA news site reported the Coast Guard had begun setting up a pollution response team in Baton Rouge as a result of spills caused by Ida.
A little slow in the response, donât you think? Ok, if theyâre gonna drill in the Gulf or the Caribbean, the rigs should be storm-proof. Additionally, the rigs should be turned off and drained well before a storm. What gives?
âŚand fold up
I donât eat anything that comes from the Gulf anymore
A doctor told me years ago not to eat anything from the oceanâŚ
Thereâs âin actionâ (which is where we need to be at every level) and âinactionâ (sort of where we are right now). We pulled out of Afghanistan (at last!), so why is the DoD budget going up ($785B next fiscal year, or less than 30 days away)? I advocate a DoD budget drop of 13% (about $100B) to help fund critically needed legislation in the throes of being transmogrified then weakly passed by a divided Congress. Do I need to die (flagrantly, and on all sorts of broadcast and social media) to attract sufficient attention (and for how long - 24 hours, maybe)? You
are not worth that, but wildlife of all sorts and human survivability in general is and I challenge you to promote such a vision, not relegate it to the heap of failed, foreshortened history! Get off your asses and contribute to real improvement of all kinds! Do nothing and you deserve whatâs about to happen to you.
To save nuclear power???
Jessica Corbett, why arenât you talking about this?
Cut this part out and save the taxpayers some grief.
Amen Phred. Ever since BP a large part of the bottom of of the gulf has been covered in a toxic slurry of the chemical BP dumped into the gulf to try and âbreak upâ the oil, and the oil itself that sank to the bottom. Mixed with all the fertilizers and raw sewage that wash into the gulf every year and itâs a wonder that all the wildlife that remains doesnât resemble Blinky, the three eyed fish from the Simpsonâs.
Of course, unless you grow it yourself, we really have no idea whatâs in most of the food we purchase.
Why are we trying to save nuclear energy, oil,etc etc. Save the money and put it into solar, wind, etc. Then put some money into zero population growth.
Just like corporate news ( especially Foxes BS! )rots your brain, corporate food rots your body because it is made for profit and full of harmful chemicals to enhance shelf life.
