As Hillary Clinton Readies 2016 Presidential Run, Progressives Await Answers

#1

#2

If they are progressives, why are they wasting their time on a known deceptive rhetorical fabrication artist?

#3

Real progressives already know the answers!

Here's a jewel from Robert Reich, read it and weep:

"Some worry she’s been too compromised by big money – that the circle of wealthy donors she and her husband have cultivated over the years has dulled her sensitivity to the struggling middle class and poor.

But it’s wrong to assume great wealth, or even a social circle of the wealthy, is incompatible with a deep commitment to reform ..."

Looks like Mr. Reich is hawking for a cabinet sinecure in the new Clinton Administration.

#5

Although Reich's is correct in saying "it's wrong to assume", there is little or no assumption needed when evaluating the Clinton family track record from their participation in forming the Democratic Leadership Council in 1985 through 30 years of becoming fabulously wealthy serially pandering to the 1% at the expense of the 99%.

#6

I like this title better. "As Hillary Readies 2016 Presidential Run, Progressives Slam The Door On Her"

#7

Bush, Clinton, Bush, Obama, Bush or Clinton

The U.S. electorate for the most part are morons.

#8

Hillary has been selected by Wall Street and the .01%. Proof? Hillary has an estimated 2.5 billion $ war chest for her Presidential run in 2016.

#9

Did we ever OPEN the door for any Clinton after Bill sold us down the river ?

#11

When I first voted in 1964 the first candidates didn't announce until April OF THE YEAR OF THE ELECTION. In 2015 they are announcing during April of the prior year. With each day as a candidate costing a fortune, any candidate announcing their candidacy more than 18 months prior to the election needs an amount of money that only Wall Street has the ability to provide.

I would say do the math, however, this is such an easy to understand concept that simple arithmetic will do.

#14

Oh yes Bill Clinton. And your absolutely right, he did sell us down the river. With his free trade agreements, deregulation of Wall Street and the war in the Balkans. Even back then the US and Nato
were bombing Yugoslavia with depleted uranium. How many people have and will die because of the use of this WMD?

#17

Lets not forget Bill's 1996 media ownership consolidation legislation that assures that no matter what the facts are, US media makes sure that Wall Street sanctioned messages are the only messages we get.

"The larger the mob, the harder the test. In small areas, before small electorates, a first-rate man occasionally fights his way through, carrying even the mob with him by force of his personality. But when the field is nationwide, and the fight must be waged chiefly at second and third hand, and the force of personality cannot so readily make itself felt, then all the odds are on the man who is, intrinsically, the most devious and mediocre — the man who can most easily adeptly disperse the notion that his mind is a virtual vacuum.

"The Presidency tends, year by year, to go to such men. As democracy is perfected, the office represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."

Why start at the first Bush? Reagan was the worst of them all.

#21

Yet, Ronny Raygun is as popular and beloved by the US electorate as he was when they re-elected him in 1984. During the past decade Obama has praised Raygun more than he has praised all of the other presidents combined.

#23

The Democrats and GOP are a tag team whereby the GOP moves the agenda ever rightward thereby giving the Democrats cover to also move rightward and enact regressive legislation after both parties have softened up the electorate. Five years from now Ryan's, Walker's and other "radical" GOP agendas will be adopted by the Democrats as mainstream.

Hitlery confirmed Walter J Smith's characterization of her as a "deceptive rhetorical fabrication artist" with respect to her promotion of unregulated GMOs when she addressed a GMO cartel convention in San Diego in June 2014, admonishing them to put a new spin on GMOs to win over the young voters that she needs to help her win in 2016.

#25

So very true!

#26

Yeah, me too. And have them display their corporate sponsors like race car drivers do.

#27

The stunning silence of this former "secretary of state" regarding US citizens stranded in Yemen speaks volumes.
