I hope not but who knows?

Not end of story. More to the story.

Much more important than what the people want is what Joe’s donors want. Blue Cross was one of his first donors, and he’s going to continue to represent them. The Democrats are just as beholden to their corporate donors as the Republicans, and they’re not going to allow deaths and bankruptcies to deter them from serving their real constituents, the 1%. We need a third party. The Democrats will always be center-right, and it will always be about the money. That’s why they mounted a more vicious opposition against Sanders than against Trump.
You can’t trust Biden and the Dems based on what they say. But saying is a first step to doing. And if they don’t do, there is evidence to hold them responsible.
Not the greatest solution, but without them saying in the first place, there is nothing to hold them accountable for.
Sadly, this is likely true. We are doomed
What ???
There was an email from Bernie the other day requesting money for COVID care groups. I already am doing that locally but it pissed me off that he would keep asking for cash after he has caved so effortlessly. It was time to take myself off the list for any more.
I took my name off of Bernie’s list in 2016 when he sold out to Wall Street because I knew Bernie could not be trusted or he was guilty of being at the very least sophomoric.
Yup, smarter than I you are. Too much of that old 60’s Spirit of change.
I did not to mean to infer that I am smarter, just saw the movie before. My ex Governor, the pistol, packin, mama from Alaska, had one thing correct when she said of Obama: " HOW IS THAT HOPEY CHANGEY THING WORKIN FER YA".
sokay, really.
So vote red.
Write-in Bernie Sanders in November. pass it along.
And lose they will in November. Far more Bernie supporters than the Dem party realizes. A majority will not vote Biden, regardless of any poll you pick. They under-estimated Bernie supporters in 2016 and lost. The same holds true for 2020. Trump will win again because of the unethical and immoral behavior of the Dem party. Our only hope is to write-in Bernie Sanders in November.
Let us Sanders supporters make history. Write-in Bernie Sanders in November.
I realize that I didn’t reply to this post so will try to briefly do that here.
I don’t disagree that the Greens were and always would be confronted by a media blackout. The Sanders campaign had significant direct experience of that in 2015-16 and again in this cycle; groups like FAIR dot org and other media critics have documented it.
“Organizing” is an art which touches on most aspects of building any kind of power and in institutionalizing it. For example, for a grassroots group, it involves specific steps of defining vision, mission, the structure(s), methods and resources needed to accomplish it, the development (initial and ongoing) of those, etc. Organizational development is time-consuming, requires vision, commitment and patience. It’s also the dry, boring work that unfortunately lots of people who would just prefer to storm the Bastille don’t want to bother doing.
I’ve initiated some grassroots groups, led other established ones (including a statewide community organizing nonprofit). I also tried but failed to initiate others- and the reason for the latter, as well as the difficulties for the former, almost always came down to a few key failures. Some of these were related to inability to get core people to buy in to the longer range vision and subjugate impulses to it; to put personal agendas and egos aside, to listen and engage, tor otherwise to commit to doing the “dry” organizational development work.
Movements of any kind need organization. That can’t happen very successfully without thoughtful planning and some structures- for decision making, ensuring follow-up, institutionalization of experience and knowledge, capacity building, etc. My experience with trying to help initiate a local Green Party was no less frustrating than some others; for too many of the people initially drawn to it had inherent fears of structures and hierarchies, as well as lack of willingness to do the less fun part of organizing; leading to complete dysfunction and an inability (for quite some time) to evolve beyond more than a salon.
I thank you for the reply. I’ll take some time to let your comments sink in and to blend them with my experience.
Actually Joe and the Establishment know that they stole Bernie’s votes. Bernie would have won without shenanigans. Look at exit polling at TDMSRESEARCH. The support for M4A is a sign that Sanders was more popular than the party is letting on. They have resorted to blatantly stealing Bernie’s Delegates from Iowa on. Election outcomes ie. 20% of the final Vote tally was held onto in Colorado, Utah and California to make it look like Joe was winning by a landslide. When the 20% was released it was Bernie’s votes. This gave Joe an artificial bump in the following elections. I could go on and on about how this election was stolen from Bernie once again. Then the virus hit and Bernie in good conscience could not carry on a campaign and force people to go out and vote. Joe was foisted upon us and it was rigged!!
This reads like a soap opera, a pretty boring one at that. Get a grip. Let me tell you the other side already has a position paper on this while you figure out better ways sooth yourselves and lose.
I’m going to send my vote to bum-**** Egypt, guess what?
