As Poll Show Nearly 90% Democratic Support, Biden Told Hostility to Medicare for All 'No Longer Tenable Position for You '

I’m pretty sure Bernie’s plan also included no premiums, deductibles, copays or other out of pocket expenses. Merely changing the age eligibility doesn’t accomplish that.

It is sad to me that we continue to see people exhorting Biden to take on progressive policies in order to beat Trump, like M4A. What they don’t seem to be able to grasp is that BIDEN AND THE DEM ESTABLISHMENT WOULD RATHER LOSE TO TRUMP THAN PASS M4A! They did not go to all the trouble to subvert democracy and undercut Bernie to then turn around and listen to the progressives they just got done fucking over. Progressives need to stop thinking that they can appeal to reason with the dem party. The dem party would rather lose than adopt progressive policies, period, full stop.

I was a long-time and passionate Bernie supporter up until he endorsed Biden. Biden has consistently opposed everything Bernie claims to favors. How anyone can support Biden is incomprehensible. How Bernie can do so is beyond my imagination.

I previously argued that Bernie is not a sheepdog – but I was wrong. I don’t see Bernie’s integrity any more. I contributed quite a bit of money to his campaign. So be it. It was a mistake and I learned from it. Still, I think a #RefundBernie movement would be a good thing.

I learned to mistrust the MSM some time ago. The MSM constantly manipulates and misinforms its readers. It is not helpful to anyone trying to understand or predict our world.

CommonDreams is no better. Their perspective is opposite the MSM, but is no more helpful in understanding the present or predicting the future.

I left the Democratic party because of Obama. Bernie’s betrayal is a greater shock for me. It’s entirely clear that “pressure” from the Left will have absolutely no impact. It never has. Why Bernie pretends otherwise mystifies me.

And here’s the most depressing thing to me. Third-party advocates correctly predicted Bernie’s failure and his betrayal. So they should have – and should have – positioned themselves to pick up the millions of Bernie’s disillusioned supporters (like me). But they didn’t do anything. They’re not there with anything to offer me. There’s never going to be an influential third party if they can’t do better.

Right. The dems tell us to vote the LOTE this time because it is crucial and we can then work on the Biden admin to move it to the left. What a pipe dream! At the end of Biden’s admin, Jesus Christ could run against the next dem chosen one and lose in a squeaker after they get done with the voter suppression and electronic ballot tampering. The last vestige of leverage we have is our vote and that provides about as much leverage as one can get from a piece of overcooked spaghetti. Our vote is a protest at this point with as much effect as the sound made by a toad run over by a bus full of drunken bankers and hookers.

the reason why Bernie should have stayed in the campaign up to the end. His voice would have been stronger! now it is up to US! as it always was and will be in the future. Solidarity comrades is what is needed no matter who the top of the ticket is. I intend to badger all my representatives in Congress from now on as I always have. you should to if you really give a damn. easy to find up who they are. put in your zip code and it will find them for you.

What do you want them to do?

The Green Party does not take corporate money - which progressives like - so they have no money to advertise. Bernie’s slogan was “Us, not me”, but the Green Party really is an us organization. It depends on individuals to join and contribute.

No Green Party candidate would ever endorse a right-wing Democrat.

The Greens post a platform on the internet. Their platform is as good as Bernie’s on domestic issues and better than his on foreign policy.

I think that “they” have done all that we can fairly expect them to do. The next step is up to you, me, and everyone else who wants progressive government.

Thank you Kaylie. The unbelievable, vilest imaginable, scum of the earth that is the American voting public, is now getting their just desserts and I’m loving it! I can’t wait for it to get much much worse! I am so pissed at people for passing over the once every 70 Year candidate, Bernie Sanders, who would have done something positive; I actually want the suffering and pain to exponentially increase for these vermin American scum. I want this to hurt so bad it can’t possibly happen again, even if we all have to die to the last man woman and child. How dare they ram a right wing radical fanatic like Biden down my throat then and whine and cry about it like it was anyone’s fault but their own.

Too little, too late, too corrupt and too bloody complicit - the DP withers after sabotaging Bernie and his/our progressive movement momentum to anoint DIMentia Joe as the 2020 Hillary 2.0 - almost a planned loss to thr trump regime it seems. All that sabotage plus encouraging the SC moron “fire-wall” idiots, while conservatives, neo-nazis, and other right-wing nutters work for trump and 4 more years of corruption and malignant mental illness, death & destruction, racism, environmental collapse, and a Mussolini political world.

Dems cower in their fear and stupidity while Dim Joe (and his pathetic corrupt record) is hidden from view - WHY do the DP pick the absolute worst candidates election after election and sabotage the candidates with great public support??! Its almost as if they plan moves to assure losing!? yeah…Biden’s really the way to build energy, momentum, political unity and energy - way to go you entrenched DINO sold-out shiteheads!

From ProPublica:

“Did I Mess This Up?” A Father Dying From Coronavirus, a Distraught Daughter and a Midnight Rescue.

Terrified residents, families and staff of the Queens Adult Care Center have watched helplessly as COVID-19 runs rampant. They say management lied about the extent of its spread. Here’s how one daughter rescued her sick dad.

Note the differences in Campaign strategy. The “Tea Party” supporters are deemed the far right of the Republican party yet they are whole heartedly embraced by that party as a means to victory. Republicans once in power then eagerly enact legislation this group demanded. If 90 percent of Republican supporters wanted a given policy passed they would get it.

The DNC ignores the left of their party and that progressive wing. They do everything to shut them up and marginalize them and when the Democrats gain power they do not pass any legislation that those progressives were in favor of. Their pundits come to places like Common dreams insisting this group should just vote DNC because they have no where else to go. If 90 percent of Democrats would want a policy passed , they are told to shut up as the DNC knows best and as the Country moves further right and Fascism takes old, those same progressives are blamed for it.

Yeah, I think that is the M4All plan that Bernie proposes and what most if not all who favor want. And those are NOT features of the current Medicare system for those eligible now. So, good point.

Any plan from Biden would need to include those features and not just expanding the current system to more age categories.

Great point, SDP! Tells me the repubs want to win at all costs, while the dems are ok with losing as long as they thwart progressives. We are being played in an American oligarchic con game as there is only one party.

Almost ?!??

As Caitlin Johnstone pointed out a few times, the DP establishment loses nothing if Biden loses to Trump. All of the thinktankers keep their six-figure jobs, the wealthy and the corporations keep their tax cuts, and Biden, who represents the banks and insurance predators, stays at the top of the party and appoints the underlings.

The DP establishment’s only goal was to stop Bernie. They did that, and now they are working to erase all progressive traces from the Party, except for that wiggle to the left that Biden will perform to sucker the ever-gullible Democratic rank-and-file.

P. S. - Since they want to lose, who am I to stand in their way? I can’t feel guilty about voting Green.

that’s good!
what about the other $30 million or so?

I have been trying and trying to understand this cowardly aspect of the dim voters. Really has become problematic. They seem to be stuck, and too nasty to try to talk to about it. Why be so enthralled with corporate rule? The Corporate Medical Complex seems as powerful as military groups in this country.
