As World Commemorates 70th Anniversary of Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Looks Like Trump About to Ditch UN Human Rights Council

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

While the global community celebrated the 70th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights this week with commemorations highlighting "the right to peace," sources tell Reuters that the Trump administration is planning to pull the United States out of the Human Rights Council, the U.N.'s main body for such issues.

This entire administration needs to be buried in that ditch.

Concepts like human rights, equality, and justice are seen as impediments to carrying out the right wing agenda. The concept they would like to replace them with is might makes right.

Actually I think this is a Very Good Thing

It will Formerly, For the Record, establish the Rampant Criminal Battery on Human Rights, of this Administration.

This Criminal Activity of the WH is Continuously Aided and Abetted by Congress and SCOTUS.

While Appearing to be Partisan, the Complete Lack of Opposition by the Democrats only Proves their Complicity in Said Crimes.

Either, One Stands Firmly in Support of the UN Human Rights Declaration or One is Aiding and Abetting these Criminals.

Succinctly stated - I am increasingly coming to believe that the motivations of the right are really that simple.

Look at that photo!!! All Haley needs is a witch hat and green skin!
Instant “Wicked Witch of the West”!!!
(And it is perfect typecasting too!)

I’ll, of course, go farther: 90% of the corrupt government “needs to be buried in that ditch”.

We’ve created chaos, death and destruction throughout the Middle East, and we’re looking to doing what we can to do the same to Iran. We don’t benefit, but Israel does, and that’s all that matters if you want the support of AIPAC and the religious right - for them, it’s worth it.

It seems it would be hypocritical of us to be members of the Human Rights Council. Let’s get out and say it’s because of its “chronic anti-Israel bias.” Council members are just so blind they can’t see why it’s OK to shoot robbery victims caged by home invaders in an open prison: The why is so simple, they’re all terrorists, don’t you know. And they’re ingrates: in this caged prison they’re allowed by their masters a diet enough to survive (for a time).

Nikki Haley, the Trump-appointed U.S. Ambassador to the U.N., has yet to comment on the report, but last year she threatened to pull out because of what the administration perceived as “chronic anti-Israel bias.”

This is nothing more than a smoke screen: The US has a long history of violating Human Rights beginning with the First Nations and Africans. In fact, the very establishment of the US nation on others’ land while claiming a “Christian” ethos reveals their true motivations. What Israel is doing to the Palestinians the US did to First Nations and Africans a few centuries earlier and they continue in their oppression of these groups: stealing resources, land grabs, and mass incarceration to mention a few.
