Asylum Seekers, Fleeing Trump's Hostility, Overwhelm Quebec's Refugee Resources

Jessica Corbett, staff writer

So many asylum seekers are pouring over the Canadian border from the United States that authorities opened Montreal's Olympic stadium—a 56,000-seat arena and one of the city's most famous landmarks—as a temporary welcome center on Wednesday.

We in Canada are very welcoming but I prefer to allow refugees in who picked Canada as their first choice of where to emigrate. Second choice just doesn’t cut it. Send them back.

Most of them are Haitians who could only afford to get as far as Miami.

PM Trudeau and the Canadian government should pass a resolution allowing refugees in the USA to apply to Canada for refugee status since the USA has become a hostile environment for those seeking refugee status and those who are already in the USA legally or not. Because of such a draconian policy by the US government Canada needs to change its policies towards refugees who were or are seeking refuge in the USA or who fear being deported or jailed. From a fellow Canadian.

Now we have Canadian right-wing trolls coming here…

Canada’s policy applies to US citizens, too. USA citizens cannot claim asylum in Canada. Canada will say their system is the same.

Producerism.
Claim anything with enough unverifiable vitriol or stretched unverifiable truth, and the result is a way to ‘aim’ populations at populations. All the while wearing down the true targets abilities to talk, negotiate and ultimately live in relative peace, the same happens to actors and thespians who wite, stage and broadcast these HATE fests.
