Attacks on Planned Parenthood Are Devastating Women's Choice, New Study Confirms

Nadia Prupis, staff writer

A new study confirms that politically-motivated attacks on Planned Parenthood are hurting low-income women, who are losing out on access to birth control as clinics are increasingly forced to reduce their shutter their doors.

Texas, where the conservative legislature has led a campaign to defund the public health organization, has seen "adverse changes in the provision of contraception" in the state, according to a new study published Wednesday in the New England Journal of Medicine.

I'm sorry to say that the national Planned Parenthood came out for Hillary Clinton. Talk about abandoning everybody else in this boat. What an awful self-inflicted blow!

Our state Planned Parenthood is a little more sanguine. They quietly support Bernie Sanders.

Let's see...state of Texas...one of the highest rates of soil, water, and air pollution in the nation; highest number of executions in U.S., sixth highest poverty rate (16.2% and Mississippi is #1 at 20.1%); highest incarceration in nation at over 225,000 (at a rate of over 1,130 per 100,000 pop.; (California is #2 at 219,000); sixth highest birth rate - 70% (per 1,000 women between 15 - 44); second highest number of residents receiving supplemental nutrition assistance (food stamps) at over 3.8 million (California is #1); several cities in Texas (Houston, El Paso, e.g.) are in the top 50 for highest crime rates; minimum wage rate of $7.25/hr ($2.13 per hour for workers eligible for tips); Texas, the second largest state by population, also ranked second by total millionaires, with 490,634 millionaire households (as of 1/20/16); #27 in education quality (grade of C- or 69% by Education Week). And the Republicant governors and state legislatures after the Ann Richards (D) era have been instrumental in taking the state of Texas to all-time lows when it comes to overall quality of life. The state has already and will continue to pay dearly for its attack on Planned Parenthood, women, and their families. Just what is there to like about Texas, really?

Voting for a Republican potential candidate is a small step towards the gigantic leap towards rapture. If you don't know what that means, ask Ted Cruz or any of his Christian brethren.
