"Ball Is Now in the Court of Senate Republicans": GOP Urged to Immediately Pass Democrats' $2.2 Trillion Covid Relief Bill

Think about it this way. If McConnell and the GOP actually pass this legislation, and Trump actually signs it, it should prove to be a huge goddamn billboard telling us all just how much trouble we’re in.
If they give in to 2.2 trillion now just imagine how bad things really are, and how awful they will become.

Oh sure, the wealthy have had us put in the economic position they want us in. So they sure don’t want people sorted out for the better, it diminishes their leverage.
Barefoot, poor, and pregnant is where they want us.

Actually, Bush and Cheney were all about ripping us off. The housing (mortgage) bubble was about to burst for some time.
They were also derelict with national security, something we still suffer from decades later.

Hard to tell if it’s Moscow Mitch, Ukraine Mitch (the impeachment), or Monster Mitch.

Maybe, but Pelosi has been in office since 1987 learning how DC works (or not works), I’m not so sure Obummer didn’t learn from her.

So, if you don’t like DOA, then what’s your suggestion? Do you think she should have negotiated down right from the get-go? Obama tried that for awhile. That was a mistake.

The problem is systemic and the Dinocrats are never going to fix it.

Movement For A People’s Party

The People’s Convention was a huge success. Now we’re coming for the debates!

Join Nick Brana as he hosts The People’s Party Debate Response with climate scientist Dr. Peter Kalmus, Amazon worker rights organizer Chris Smalls, and the Vice Chair of Our Revolution Los Angeles Eynelys García. The panel starts at 10:45 p.m. Eastern Time tomorrow, right after the Biden-Trump presidential debate which runs from 9-10:30 p.m. EST.

Dr. Peter Kalmus, the recipient of NASA’s early career public achievement award, will discuss the climate fires engulfing the West Coast and the climate crisis threatening our species. Kalmus, who spoke at The People’s Convention, will talk about how the corporate parties, the media and the Commission on Presidential Debates have colluded to exclude the climate as a topic at the debate. Even as monster hurricanes roil the South and East coasts and we’re seeing dramatic ice loss in
the Arctic and Antarctic.

Chris Smalls, the founder of The Congress of Essential Workers, who was fired by the world’s richest man for demanding safe working conditions at Amazon during the pandemic, will discuss how the Democrats and Republicans are failing working people and enforcing systemic racism and policing. Chris is teaming up with Our Revolution Los Angeles, Sunrise LA, and Extinction Rebellion LA for an action at Jeff Bezos’ $165 million dollar mansion in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

Eynelys García, the Vice Chair of Our Revolution Los Angeles and former Special Projects Director for Cenk Uygur’s Congressional Campaign, will join us to discuss Medicare for all, basic income, money in politics, and why neither party is speaking for Latinos. She will also comment on the horrific forced sterilization of immigrant women at an ICE detention camp. All panelists will respond and react to what Biden and Trump said and what they didn’t say throughout the debate.

Sign up for The People’s Party Debate Response here and tune in to our livestream on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube starting at 10:45 pm ET tomorrow. Share this page far and wide on social media with our hashtags #PeoplesPartyDebateResponse and #PeoplesParty to bring thousands more into our movement and show them what we stand for.

This is the first in our three-part presidential debate response series. This is what it will look like when The People’s Party is on the debate stage in 2024, poised to win the presidency, sweep congressional and down-ballot races, and revolutionize this country.

On October 15 and October 22 we will be responding to the second and third presidential debates, with special guests to be announced.

A reminder that our National Calls have gone to every other week during the debates. So our next call will be Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8:30 p.m. EST.

See you at the debates!

Movement for a People’s Party

Yee Haw, People’s Party. Utopia is just around the corner. (And, you really did not answer my question, you know.)

After Trump’s disruptions in Cleveland at Case Western Reserve.
Mark Meadows will count the electoral votes tomorrow morning.
If Trump has close to enough, no more federal loot distributed to peoples.
If Wisconsin, Michigan, Florida can be won - he will have a bill pass.
But it will finance the airlines, wall street and banks - not help families.
For every dollar allocated to banks, Federal Reserve will release nine more to the banks.

Media will tell us that it is all good.

Establishment democrats are more than willing to compromise their values. Literally. Trump and the republicans have shown that they don’t care about the people, and the people know it. If republicans continue to obstruct right before the election, they’re going to lose badly. Push through the whole damned thing, be unwavering.

`Progressive advocacy groups and labor leaders are urging Senate Republicans and the Trump White House to stop stonewalling and immediately approve a Covid-19 relief package unveiled late Monday by House Democrats that would renew the expired $600-per-week federal unemployment supplement, send another round of $1,200 stimulus checks to most Americans, and provide aid to faltering state and local governments.

The $2.2 trillion legislation, announced by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) just weeks ahead of the November election, represents a compromise version of the $3.4 trillion HEROES Act that the Democrat-controlled House approved more than four months ago.`
