WASHINGTON - Friends of the Earth submitted a Freedom of Information Act to the Environmental Protection Agency today requesting meeting minutes and communications between the EPA Office of the Administrator, the Office of Pesticide Programs and representatives of the pesticide industry. Friends of the Earth submitted this FOIA due to concerns raised by beekeepers around undue pesticide industry influence on the development of the EPA’s pollinator and pesticide policies.
not only is the EPA not fulfilling the task assigned to it (see the Task Force link.), but it is completely failing its responsibilities. If you approve of a chemical's public/federal use then you are responsible for its side effects and their mitigation and/or the revocation of that permit.PERIOD. passing the buck(literally) to the cash strapped states (thanks mainly to the No Child Left Behind program which was designed in the same fashion) should result in firing those responsible for this irresponsible action, or at least some unpaid vacation time cleaning up the Gold King/Animas River accident.
how much do we pay you clowns anyway?
