No mention of Medi-Care for all from the bern so what with that?
Gotta love him! The Bernie Sanders that speaks truth to power! Yay Bernie!
"The most [fill in the blank] ever."
Ties in right nice with the "deconstruction of the administrative state" promised and soon to be delivered by Don and Bannon.
While the trump regime of soulless worshipers of Mammon, fascism, and financial usury vomit forth plan after plan to gift the 1% at great cost to the 99%, repression after repression to criminalize, marginalize and abuse the 99% - they are rotting, like a fish, from the head down!
DINO corporate co-conspirator Dems stay mostly silent or timid in their responses (what few there are), and in collusion, also serving wealth and power, also rotting.
Bernard Sanders travels widely and speaks-out to inspire, educate, and energize the 99% to resist the scams/crimes and work toward a very different reality!
Bernie/Liz 2020 could be a shoo-in, but how long could they withstand the attacks of the money-power?
While TrumpDon'tCare is indeed an "anti working class" tax cut for the 1% disguised as "health care reform", 1986 "bipartisan" tax "reform", NAFTA, 1996 telecom consolidation, and the long list of New Deal regulation decriminalizations disguised as "deregulation" have proven to be just as "anti-working class" as TrumpDon'tCare is likely to be.
Had Obama succeeded with his 2011 grand bargain, TPP and TTIP, TrumpDon'tCare would run a distant fourth place in the race to destroy what remains of the Murkin working class.
Trump is just the icing on the 1%'s cake that has been baking ever since Saint Ron's revolution and the 1985 formation of the Democratic Leadership Council (DLC).
If anybody has not caught on to his view on Medicare yet, then they won't even if he pronounces it another 100 times.
Sanders has obviously had closed door discussions with powerful corporate Democrats who comprise the power center of the Democratic Party, who are absolutely opposed to an expanded Medicare for All or Single Payer system of healthcare.
While I give Sanders some credit, his ultimate subservience to the same corporate power that he rails against, makes me take him with a huge grain of salt.
And to hell with the argument that Sanders has no choice but to remain silent on expanded Medicare for All at this time.
If Sanders is truly a champion for it, then "if not now, when?".
It is by design. Corporate Democrats have his ear.
And when he silenced his call for Medicare for All at the moment he stuffed his "revolution" into the Clinton Campaign, then he was co-resisting with Clinton Inc.
Somehow Bernie has still not figured out how the Republicans are getting all these votes while shifting income to the top 1% or top 10% or something like that, advocating cut backs on healthcare coverage, opposing any increase in the minimums wage and in general making life economically miserable for people in the middle class and even worse for those below middle class. So how are the Republican pulling this off? It should be obvious that it has nothing to do with economics. So what is left? Values. These values mainly concern race (white superiority) and religion (opposition to the wall between church and state) but also freedom (at least from big government), strong nationalism, and militarism. So while what Bernie is saying is true about Trump and the Republicans for TrumpCare, his words will not cause very many Republican politicians to lose support from voters.
He wasn't resisting. He was trying to prevent Trump from being elected. He failed but I give him credit for trying. He should not have any regrets on that score.
Oh so when according to your snarky remark about "resisting" talking about Medicare for All in this instance, it is different than when he joined Clinton in "resisting" during the campaign?
You are so damn predictable when it comes to corporate power. You never see, rather, acknowledge the influence.
we have already flushed enough money down the toilet over the last 15 years occupying Afghanistan that we could of provided everyone health care for decades instead, stop voting for these 2 corrupt parties and maybe something will change
Bernie's point is the imperative to stop TrumpDontCare legislation, and I give him credit for leading this effort in this major address in Des Moines.
He turns 76 in September; he sure doesn't seem old. He still pitches the full nine innings with the energy of someone much younger.
Still feel the Bern!
Republicans didn't win, Hillary lost, , when voter turnout is low, Dems usually lose!
You supplied the answer to that yourself, First we have to get that bunch of leeches out of there, before we can hope to get that through the legislature.
That is, why we have to bust our collective butts to get these parasites replaced by people, of the people, for the people
have been working on that for some time now, vetting the right candidates and supporting their campaigns for 2018/19 and 2020/21
Let us pull up our socks and support those organizations.
Hello Andrea Germanos and Everyone, I disagree with Senator Sanders, The point we currently occupy has only one alternative to changing the situation. It is either them or us!!!!!!!!! By the time the majority reach that conclusion it will be too late for the US and most likely the world due to either ELE by what we do environmentally and or by nuclear war added on top of our global environmental policies as being too little too late!!!!! This could be our end theme song. any of the songs that follow https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdNEB2SeWv0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WUFsTNDkoF4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qfZVu0alU0I
