This is why I love Bernie. He is truly working for ALL the People, and if we continue on down the Sinema or Manchin or Mitch road----we will end up like the proverbial lemmings as they exit the world from the same cliff.
WHAT is it that We the People get for our taxes? MORE WARS is not what we should be paying for. A person would hope that actual intelligent politicians would be able to avoid wars and build a society of equality. Thatās Bernieās dream and mine too. To fulfill this is the only way America will survive.
And that is the only way America will survive
I couldnāt agree eith you more! You said it all so well & I thank you!
Sen. Sanderās strong and accurate criticism of our MSM should be natāl news, and provoke a lively and thoughtful discussion, on our top 6-8 Corporate-owned news outlets.
They have a responsibility to their audience, and the entire country for that matter, to refute these troubling claims by one of the leading political figures of the 21st Century. If the Senatorās assertions are true, and I believe 50% of adult USAins do believe they are, our Congressional representatives must investigate and offer solutions to end this embarrassing public hoodwinking and bamboozle. Itās long past overdue to end this unseemly collusion, imo. The Swamp must be drained⦠Wait
Whatās that odd noise outside my window? Sounds like the last mating call of the year for crickets. Yes, thatās it. Crickets mating and calling out in song on dry red maple leaves; how innocent, whoād of thunk ?
SCOTUS gave corporations U.S. Citizenship and look what they have done to us.
Bernie is honest and wise enough not to join either of our corrupt political parties.
As one who views the national TV news at 5:30pm, and the local news out of Cedar Rapids at 6pm, I can attest that Bernie is correct in his explanation of the corporate media con job.
Unfortunately, Iowans lap up this misinformation and framing of our news, with āno sense of the human impact on poverty.ā
And those of you who may think that you are getting āTruthā from NPR, you are sadly mistaken. They are corporate shills as well. Listen to their list of āUnderwritersā.
For Shame!
The experts appearing from their homes on CNN and MSNBC in front of filled book shelves.
Not read yet! The splines are still smooth. Often, their opinion given is opposite of what our nation and society need.
One young lady had eight books, well read.
I will believe her every day.
Any body notice that we are accepting COVID deaths of 2,000 each day without a wimper.
But lose 13 marines in Kabul and the president loses 14% of his former popularity.
Something is really wrong with the lady senator from Arizona. Maybe she works for turtle.
An emotional train wreck, needs counseling, a boyfriend, easy money, vacation.
Senator Sinnermax is simply following the revolving door playbook wherein giving her corporate paymasters 110% of what they demand gets her a $2 million per year K Street gig when she either retires from Congress or is voted out.
The #1 TV advertisement revenue is from new car sales. #2 is car insurance. #3 is car-related tires, repairs, etc. Local TV broadcasters will not bite the hand that feeds them. Automobile-related business interests alongside āplanned obsolescenceā manufacturing include finance, construction interests in roadways and car-dependent housing (bankers will gladly finance suburban sprawl knowing each house will finance a dozen cars), white flight and gentrification, parking garage czars, fossil fuel refinery and distribution interests, war after war for oil and WMD munitions manufacturers. These corporate interests all want us to believe electric ādriverlessā cars, trucks, container ships, airplanes and related ātraditional infrastructureā is the future! Wheeee!
Also corporate news seems to always fail to mention that the corporate tax hike would pay for this bill but never forgets to mention that Manchin thinks it ācosts too muchā. Heās probably means for the people heās really working for.
It is an old story. Marx went into this very subject, way back in 1848, when he published āThe Communist Manifesto.ā But the world carried on, as normal, with no real reflection on the matter. And, of course, Stalin was a power broker of the first magnitude. So, even the Russians got fooled.
of course the media coverage is pro-corporationsāthey are now and have been for a very long time --the propaganda arm of the corporate takeover of our country(history lessonāwhat is the word for a political system that is the co-mingling of corporate and government power??) this is why I turned them off decades agoāif you are a consumer of that media you have been fed a steady diet of lies for decadesālies on behalf of the corporations destroying our planet for their profitsālies on behalf of the corrupted to the core corporate politiciansālies on behalf of the greedy sociopaths stuffing their bank accounts on the pain and suffering of the peopleālies from the time they turn on their corporate teleprompter to the sign off at the end of the day
Agreed⦠The only question I still have is when will they get the right to vote? And will it be one corporation one vote, or based on the number of issued shares? John Roberts and his merry band of Republican sycophant judges will opt for corporate vote based on shares.
Just as the only meaningful votes we have are the votes we cast in the marketplace (where we chose to spend our money each day) so it is with corporations.
Corporations do it a little differentlyā¦in every election they bribe each of the two corporate parties to make sure that their interests are forefront irrespective of who wins each election.
You see the problem there, right?
I have noticed that on the radio. Keep Left my friend.
What I find particularly disappointing is the coverage by PBS which, granted, does give more detail but does NOT depart from the narrative of the other corporate media entities. Just as on ABC, NBC, CBS or Fox, PBS engages in ābothsidednessā no matter how ludicrous the oppositionās stance. But when PBS let the Koch brothers buy Nova I guess we knew they werenāt on the side of truth.
Sanders didnāt go far enough ā the Media is a propaganda apparatus & its mission is to misinform the public so they can be manipulated.
