Bernie's Yearning: Nothing Is So Unstoppable As A Flavor Whose Time Has Finally Come

With Iowa hovering and Sanders surging, two key endorsements - one sweet, one substantial. Ben and Jerry's Ben Cohen has unveiled Bernie's Yearning, a "participatory flavor" featuring mint ice cream - us - topped by solid chocolate - the 1% - which we're instructed to whack into pieces and mix around. Meanwhile, longtime Clinton ally Robert Reich has declared the "volcanic core" of this election as power, and the need to share it. He calls Hillary "the most qualified candidate for president of the political system we now have" but Bernie "the most qualified candidate to create the political system we should have."

Reich says that he considers Hillary "the most qualified candidate for president of the political system we now have"

I appreciate Reich's comment. Given Hillary Clinton's close connections to Wall Street and her hawkish approach to foreign policy I would modify Reich's comments by noting that Hillary Clinton is the candidate for a political system that is a little more Wall Street / Big Bank friendly and a little more militaristic than the one we have now.

So first we get this from the Trump campaign:

Then we get Sanders as Washington from his campaign:

Scary thing is, it looks they might get the nominations of their respective parties and we'll have to choose one of them. wonder if any of their campaigns thought about stadium shows with synchronized gymnasts.

Actually, that was NOT from Bernie's campaign. It was a funny meme created by one of his millions of fans.

The synchronized gymnasts comment was truly funny--because it fits the carnival atmosphere of the 2016 campaign so far.
