Biden is like Derek Chauvin. He’s never received the proper training on how to be a leader. He’s put his knee on the neck of real progress towards Peace, Equality, and Human Rights because he thinks that is protecting everyone, even though he caters to the Thin Blue Line mentality of covering for his compatriots in complicity to the status quo.
The progressive wing of his party are like those who filmed Mr. Floyd being choked to death, saying to him, “Joe, you are killing us all by selling insane amounts of weaponry to those not responsible enough to use them. Joe, you must take bold action to limit the continued use of fossil fuels and by all means stop giving them welfare when they do not need it.”
They plead and plead with him to take his knee off the neck of real progress towards a nation drowning from a lack of humanity from Law Enforcement, equality, human rights and compassion.
Will Joe find his humanity or condemn us all to 4 more years of the Duopoly two-step dance of more destructive commitment to inbred wealth and their influence for their own benefit?

Neither authors or CD commentators are fooled by Biden and the
writing was on the wall from Orwell and Eisenhower: the prophet and the
practitioner: It’s a permanent war economy now in 1984, and we’re “Airstrip One.”
Maybe time to open up the 9/11 attack for a close look at the government
and media’s questionable evidence, and the JFK, CIA assassination while
we’re at it.

Biden isn’t appeasing hawks and neocons—he IS a hawk and neocon–has been his whole career–and is proving his commitment to the corporations paying his bribes–that he is their hero and savior–as he said–and apparently no one listened–“nothing fundamental will change”–translation–the US will continue it’s wars and drive for hegemony over the world --at the expense of our planet

Agreed with all the commenters saying Biden is not “appeasing hawks and neocons,” he is and has always been a hawk and neocon.
And I don’t think that anything “is crippling his diplomacy” — what you see IS his diplomacy, in full bloom.
Where in this country are the men and women who can build a party able to elect, from city councils through state and federal legislatures to the White House, leaders committed to bringing what Biden straightforwardly promised to prevent and is now faithfully preventing: change?

Mr. Biden’s “humanity” is just a myth. Thousands of We the People sent letters, wrote articles, talked with anyone who would listen, to give Biden’s history in government or lack thereof, and whom he was associated with, and paid by.
As always, he is doing exactly what he is hired to do, and he is very good at it. If you want a glowing account of Biden and his career, just ask a billionaire, any one of them. They got many of their billions from Biden’s many actions in his various appointed and elected positions. Now, he has the chance for being a part of the coup de grace that may well put this nation into polished Nazi Storm-trooper boots for the foreseeable future. That won’t last too long, for the planet is dying, but the billion and trillionaires are pocketing the loot to see who is the richest one left standing on the garbage heap before he/she collapses from poisoned air, water and land.

I’m late to this comment party and you guys it all!! I am glad Biden is doing a few things decent domestically ( always inadequate but whatever) but we all knew his FP was going be gaspingly bad. At least he is predictable I suppose( eyeroll).

Yes the US empire is declining, but what’s rising? Innocent regimes that only defend themselves, never aggressing? It would be more useful to tell the whole story, which has no innocent players. The Russian and Chinese governments are brutal, anti-democratic thugs, as is the U.S. Don’t disarm readers for the time when we finally have to reckon with this reality - which, for Uyghurs and Russian opposition leaders and many more, has long been the reality. Freedom is indivisible, oppression is oppression anywhere and everywhere.
