'Big Win' for Divestment Movement as California Public Pensions Dump Coal

As Governor of California Jerry Brown signed a much-applauded bill into law on Thursday, fossil fuel divestment activists celebrated as the two largest public pension funds in the United States will now be forced to divest from any company whose primary profits are related to the mining or use of thermal coal.

One more move by Jerry to do what he can to create a bit better future. He's been busily signing a lot of good laws passed by the majority out here in big, blue California. Good on you again Jerry.

We need climate change leadership in New Mexico too. Not going to happen... too bought off by Big Coal, Oil, and Gas.
