Heres another element of Big Brother Fascism that Bezos is implementing

“Amazon workers want Jeff Bezos to know they are people—not robots.”

But as a “robot” himself, how will he attain this?

Well, I guess with his wealth he is probably already contemplating robot replacements for those baulking workers. Necessarily, as you suggested they will be modelled after himself. We must look to the future as such, you see.

Corrupt, pro-business governors and their agencies’ toadies are also part of the problem.

Hi One_World:
Thanks for the AP article. It looks as if the governor is as bad as Amazon. When employees are treated like valueless serfs----it is time to investigate both Amazon and the governor. who does not seem to value people. : (

Where the demonstrations in the good old USofA? The working people in this country must lead the revolution.

He will replace them all with Robots as soon as he can. I hope none of them are planning a career there

You’re welcome. I hope this news is spread far and wide and the governor is held accountable. I agree, the governor is as bad as Amazon; and, in some ways, he’s worse, since he and the state agencies have been entrusted with protecting and working for the people. The focus on money-related matters above all else really seems like a mental illness.

A friend of mine took a job at Amazon in Chengdu after college and had similar complaints. She left after she understood what her options were there.

Aggregate Demand is the name of the game. Find a robotics device that earns any currency and has spending money in its pockets and you’ll have solved the internal contradictions faced by mass producers of the industrial revolution like Henry Ford and mass service providers of today like the Uber-izing business modelers of our Gig E-CON-omy…Daddy Warbucks doesn’t fund all sides in every war to win anything on any battlefield. Daddy Warbucks keeps its assets well back of the source of the supply lines.

The Koch family fortune in oil chemical processes and services was built on Shavian models that adapted to the New Feudalsim of the Corporate Caliphate circa the IG Farben. Interruption(s) by such cults of personality and masterful manifestations of material totalitarianism as illustrated by Uncle Joe Stalin’s hijacking of the Russian Revolution(s) flow purposefully via many failed conspiracies from unfettered Global Capital to the Wall Street and London headwaters and board rooms:

A robot just uses a human shape in an electromechanical device. Labor-saving devices have been in the making for thousands of years, since the beginning of the invention of tools. The problem I think is in linking the owner of labor-saving devices with rights of access to food, shelter, travel, education and health services.

Amazon is being challenged in germany by online retailers matching the same price and swiftness of delivery as Amazon.
I have found several on line companies that sell the same exact item at the same price and deliver it as fast if not faster than Amazon.
What i also discovered is that near the upper right hand area of the page on amazon , it states where the item originated from which is a german company . Amazon buys that item from them and has that company ship the item in Amazons name.
So what i do now is see who amazon is ordering the item from and go to their website site to order thus cutting amazon out of the loop.

Boycott Amazon, don’t use the bastards that’s the way to handle them. Their prices aren’t all that great anyway; as a wanna-be monopoly you can bet that they will have everyone by the financial balls when they have eliminated all competition. Fortunately there are lots of alternatives if you look.

I am certain that replacing people with robots is exactly what the Bozo has planned. Apparently he finds it necessary to bleed the dollars out of humans to bankroll his project. God forbid he should have to touch any of his $110 Billion net worth.

The first step is to ensure the viability of unions, then to kill or reinvent capitalism in America. imo.

“The working people in this country must lead the revolution.”

I’d be impressed to find my fellow and fellawn(t) Wage Slaves even acknowledging the Neo-Liberal E-CON Revolution that was not televised and that brought U.S. back to the pre-Labor Struggle days!

Now dba Gig E-CON, Uber-ization (see role of Obama’s campaign genius in that devolutionary business model)

I’d be impressed to find a police officer or Public Education or Trade Union member who knows who Joe Hill was in Labor History, or who proudly proclaims membership in their (Police Benevolence) Unions after showing solidarity with the so-called “unskilled” labor unions. Came to law enforcement from their start in the military and has thought through the Socialistic Institution that a military force is by design while the monopoly on bearing militaristic arms comes with responsibilities of their own to municipal and county police forces.

Or, is mindful as Butte, Montana bred union working girl Barbara Ehrenreich described in her best-selling “Nickel and Dimed” that “Unskilled labor” today can require fluency in the latest online software applications, instant recall of shifting lay-out of retail inventory, showing active listening skills while responding considerately, with empathy, thoughtfully and logically with the resourcefulness to actually be helpful rather than “always be closing”. Basic reasoning skills that underpin not trade school courses but a liberal arts education! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barbara_Ehrenreich

That can spot the “business needs” justification for lack of worker protections in “Work-At-Will” dba “Employment At Will” states as the bullshit false equivalency that it is.

Namely, a set schedule assuring enough paid hours per week to off-set food and shelter insecurities that have resulted in the highest suicide rates since the Great Depression on the coast to coast streets and underpasses of the world’s wealthiest nation. https://www.oregon.gov/boli/TA/pages/t_faq_employmentatwill.aspx

All while our business dominated mass media keep proclaiming and reinforcing and selling the view that we are living through an “economic Miracle with the lowest unemployment rates in recorded history,” and the educated and even union hierarchies do not shout out in unison “What about the part-timed and de-professionalized via stripping of accrued seniority benefits or consideration of on-the-job training and work experience rampant in 3rd Party Staffing Agencies, out-of-touch Human Resources staff while under-staffing the actual rather than virtual workers?!?!?”

Likely subsidized by the C.I.A. and friends.

If I can’t purchase directly from a company, I prefer dealing directly with private individuals and companies via eBay. I will purchase from Amazon only when it is the sole supplier or its price is significantly less than I can find elsewhere, and that is now rare. Years ago, I had so many damaged shipments arrive from Amazon, due to poor packaging, that I finally decided purchasing from them was not worth the potential hassle.

But, I’m amazed by how many friends and relatives look first to Amazon and are actually enrolled in Prime. A waste of $$, to my way of thinking.

The government has been outsourcing technology development to private corporations because THEY are not obligated under FOIA.
It wouldn’t surprise me if this is more of that
