The places most likely to have kept pace on wages are the unions. They have many jobs paying the $20-30 p/h rate.
You list a number of things that I think most of us are aware of, and are in disgust over.
I’m not sure I would agree that right and left are on the same page though.
Facts are facts while numbers can be finessed. We constantly have to separate the truth from the chaff. It has become our duty now that truth has taken such a nose dive with trump and his followers.
My co-worker was quizzled to see a checkbox to the effect that she understands the shot would not grant immunity from the disease but would make it easier to recover. By that time she had her foot (arm) in the door already so she proceeded. Maybe the lawyers have altered all vaccine forms now and that’s standard boilerplate.

To one degree or another, it feels like the same game of yo-yo in all the states. Here in CA, when a region goes “from the purple to the red tier” then there are a bevy of openings-up. Of which I’m hardly aware – I’m hunkering down awhile, whatever they say, myself. But it’s a ceaseless cascading parade of yo-yos. Over and over. You’d think we’d have learned the lesson from this pathogen, by now, that it knows how to play this yo-yo game, and it’s winning.
USA hospitalizations look to be leveling off around 50K – previous lows after peaks were just under 30K. My guess is the bottom of the USA Covid hospitalization yo-yo can’t get much lower than 40K.
