BLOWBACK: Shit Hitting the Fan at Trump's Shithole Hotels

Common Dreams staff

“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said last week

SHITHOLE: The Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC

#2

The country is going to shit, but the Wall Street Casino economy is booming.

Money is shit.

Direct Democracy

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaa!!! Excellent blowback!

This public “blowback” to trump’s arrogance, madness, and treason toward country and people must accelerate!

The squandering of public money by trump to spend time at his Mar-a-Lago shithole palace costs taxpayers about $3.6 Million every time! Why doesn’t this millionaire/billionaire pay for his goddamn weekends himself!?

“A trip to Mar-a-Lago costs taxpayers approximately $3.6 million, according to a Government Accountability Office report”

"trumps travel weekends has cost over an estimated $20 million in his first 80 days as president, putting the president on pace in his first year of office to exceed Obama’s 8 years in office!!**

“trump has spent six weekends – and a total of 21 days – at Mar-A-Lago, his private Palm Beach club. The total estimated costs for those trips are around $21.6 million. Obama, by contrast, spent just under $97 million on travel in his eight years as president”

Isn’t that theft enough to excite massive “blowback” to the shithole-In-Chief’s private use of taxpayer dollars?..even for his idiot sheep supporters?

He is getting emoluments from his own visits to Mara Lago.

Not to mention that he’s using tax payer money to fly himself and family on weekend junkets there on Air Force One. Air Force One is not his private jet! It’s the jet of the Office of the President. If he doesn’t have a solid government business reason to use it, he’s defrauding the tax payers. Just like Tom Price and Mnuchin and their private jet expenses.

Impeachment on emoluments and gross abuse of tax dollars for his own hedonism seems appropriate.

This is why the 2018 mid-terms are crucial.

I would prefer to have Common Dreams discussions without half truths. And especially without non truth propaganda. Too much other stuff going on to get down to the real truths and a qualify discussion based on the real truths.

I predicted a Trump backlash - the term used here is blowback. He has a reckless style of commentary. Now the only question is how big this backlash, blowback will be. It may come to a point that the Republican Party will need to disown him before the 2018 congressional elections, as many will want to be re-elected and therefore wanting to distance themselves from Trump. Especially those that polls are showing public non support for Republican legislators after their effort to butcher medical care for the non rich and raise taxes on the non rich while grossly overindulging the rich and the corporations. Their idea of government is of the corporations, by the corporations and for the corporations - of the rich, by the rich and for the rich. The opposite of Republican Abraham Lincoln’s government of the people, by the people and for the people.

Finally, something to laugh about regarding Trump. Loved it. Seriously, though, humor may just be the thing to rile him the most.

#8

Boy! The energy expended to participate in this “resistance” is impressive. What? About the time it takes to finish your double skinny tall latte? Maybe if you wear a pink hat while writing the Yelp review, it will make you feel even better about your contribution to the cause.

#9

Yeah, he seems to CRAVE respect–though not worthy of it–and these PRICELESS shots across his FAT BOW are to be the things of memories when he is long gone from D.C.

#10

It’s a bubble, a house of cards, paper profit! As you say, a Casino! A few will win. Most will lose,

#11

Want to know where Trump gets his script? Listen to Judge Jeneane Pirro FOX BDSM testosterone queen and Steve Miller. Fox News, an oxymoron, pays massive amounts of coin to bend and distort reality. The cock crows the sun rises, therefore the sun rises because of the cock crows.

#12

Bring it on!

#13

Welcome to the forum.

Now get lost, okay?

Another damn right wing whiner.

The fem-phobic “pink hat” supposed insult is pretty fucking pathetic, and you even managed to inject ye ole “latte” meme into your idiotic post.

What next, some genius comment name dropping Al Gore or Soros?

Dear Reader, likely Al will reply whining that I’m intolerant of his intolerance.

#14

Cute, but the reality is, this is all the power we have. To downrate hotels and project light shows. And wear pink pussy hats. (I’m not denigrating it. If it makes y’all feel a little better and think that you aren’t completely powerless, then I’ve got no problem with it.)

No power at all to affect policy, though. So guess who has the last laugh?

#15

I could NEVER appreciate the appeal. And now, anyone staying in any of his name facilities (he may not actually even own the, many entities just use the name) is an idiot, a fool or both. I hope ALL of his pretentious crap goes belly up. Imagine having to WORK in Trump Tower. It’s all far too surreal.

#16

It’s the power of the purse and for him it’s everything. He is melting, fast…

#17

Because why? A few people might not stay at his hotels?

He’s a fargen billionaire, for God sakes. And he stumbled upon the presidency of the United States.

To you I would say: wishful thinking.

#18

Do the reading in a recent edition of the Nation (within the last couple months, I don’t remember the title of the piece but it was a questioning of what Trump’s business empire really consists of and how potentially overstated his wealth and influence may really be.) It will give you a feeling for what a nothing he really is. Any perceived weakening of his house of card will/does weaken him (it I should say) There is just not as much “there” as people are thinking.

#19

This is Priceless!

The Shithead-in-Chief must be having a hissy-fit.

Hope he strokes out.

I’m interested to see how much ‘distance’ they can achieve while wearing that tax scam millstone around their collective necks.
