Frigging Devos sycophant. These poor selfless people. And what is most disturbing, I would venture a guess that the general public agrees. These people work 180 days of class time, true, but for every hour they spend in class with kids they spend four to five hours correcting and planning. Like weekends vacation time preparing bookkeeping etc., We had a bright idea here in Maine that we would pay teachers based on a time clock. Damned near bankrupted the state. Salaries went up 40 to 50 percent. There are all kinds of strategies to recruit and keep good teachers, cutting their pension benefits isn’t at the top of that list. Private ed is about as logical as Devos’s brother’s scheme to privatize the military. These people are bat’shit cuckoo. They do belong in the Trump administration. The sooner they all go home to their gated communities the better. Let them sell soap.
