A new bill introduced by Democratic members of both houses of Congress will take "real action to protect families" from high prescription drug costs instead of providing a "photo op" for President Donald Trump, said co-sponsor Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.).

An unintended consequence of poverty preventing people from taking prescription drugs might be that they begin to feel better (see Gary Null’s “Death By Medicine” for example).

With that said, there’s no reason—other than simple corporate greed!—that drugs in this country are as expensive as they have become.

But, but, wait, we have their thoughts and prayers right? As they rob us blind. Better living through chemistry. I’m so glad to see someone step up to the plate and swing but will the turtle let it get to floor for a vote?

How about adding to the bill, a cap on what big pharma can charge, like not more than what other countries pay. Because of high costs, and repugs refusal to accept the ACA in a lot of states, there’re are a lot of people not covered under these plans.
