Citing Recent Protests, Wales Declares Climate Emergency

The Welsh government on Monday declared a climate emergency in hopes that doing so would "trigger a wave of action at home and internationally."

The declaration comes a day after the Scottish first minister made a similar pronouncement.

Ireland too has pledged to end all use of fossil fuels within 5 years.

A larger percent of property is oceanfront in small islands than elsewhere in the world.

This island country just dealing with it a different way. Indonesia, one of the most densely populated countries of the world, has much more to lose.

I wonder if they will make it in time!!!
