The fella was convicted again at the second trial in 2008.
After Klobuchar was already in the senate.
Jury trials or bench trials?
From the article:
“For too long, ‘Tough On Crime DA’ has been a stepping stone for careerists of both parties and a major reason our system is so mindlessly cruel…”
Yes. For proof, one need look no further than the careers of best buds Rudy Giuliani and Chris Christie.
As an aside: She’s taken seriously as a candidate, despite not knowing name of one of our two biggest trading partners (Obrador of Mexico).
News flash: Klobocop has dropped out and endorsed Sleepy Joe.
That should “help” him get the black vote.
Re: the black vote. All I ever heard Klobchar say on so many occasions was that __her grandpa was a, " coal miner." Perhaps her support of black people is limited to the black dust on coal miners faces. She is a very annoying white person.
Crime, except for RAPE, is actually falling, a LOT, in the US.
So, what that tells me is that we need to focus on prosecuting rapists more and focusing on addressing the underlying problems of society and not pretending that its always the fault of poor people, etc. It seems as if this young man is likely innocent. We should consider people innocent if evidence exonerates them, even if it emerges long after a trial. Society should apologize and start treating them as innocent and try to help people get their lives back in order in that situation.
Klobuchar, Kamala Harris, and who knows how many other ex-cops, ex-military, ex-prosecutors, ex-corporate executives need to be ex-Congress, ex-overprivileged servants to fascism, and exiled to prison for life.
