'Clexit': New Fears for UK as Brexit Planners Push to Withdraw from COP21

Nadia Prupis, staff writer

The same architects of Britain's exit from the European Union are now pushing for the United Kingdom to withdraw from the global climate treaty negotiated in Paris last December—a movement called Clexit (for "Climate Exit").

Clexit is a non-starter.
The Brits are smart enough to figure this hoax out.
It may be the same Fascists pushing Clexit as pushed for Briexit, but they are facing a completely different audience.
The Left will mobilize against this nonsense and smash the Fascists.

Looks like Monckton is still causing trouble. There seems to be no end to conspiracy theories these days. Could everyone with any power be hiding what they are actually up to? "Nations should not tolerate UN and EU bureaucrats manipulating science in order to justify their dreams to redistribute wealth and revert to the central planning that enslaved and impoverished the old command economies." How wacky is that?

These kinds of articles, and the environmental movement in general, miss the point of these things. The same underclass people who are hammered by trade deals are also the ones that lose out for environmental efforts: they're the ones whose industries are closed down, upgraded, or made obsolete, and they're left hanging in the wind. Nothing right or wrong about this: just how it is. If the environmental movement wants to stop being the colossal failure it has been, it needs to start taking this into account. Nobody cares about your graphs.

"The Clexit Campaign aims to prevent ratification or local enforcement of the UN climate treaty. Nations should not tolerate UN and EU bureaucrats manipulating science in order to justify their dreams to redistribute wealth and revert to the central planning that enslaved and impoverished the old command economies…"

Whether command economies originate from Presidents, Commissars, Oligarchs or CEO's, studies show none has proven as beneficial to the public as direct democracy by voter initiative and popular referendums. The Swiss and Mondragon democracies are living examples of direct democracies where all the people govern themselves, not elected or appointed dictators with their own agendas.

"Brexit" and "Clexit" are not siblings, even if they share the same sociopathic parentage.

The former was in large measure engendered by legitimate anger and fear over neoliberal EU policies that had manifestly degraded the quality of life for many.

The latter is a transparent attempt to capitalize on the ignorance propagated by the very forces behind it.

Both are infested with vipers

One is pure snake oil.

The group of wealthy arrogant fools (in lieu of stronger terms) Monckton belongs to, try to bamboozle the ioll-informed public, rightly infuriated at their status as modern serfs and debt slaves to the same wealth, have pushed a bridge too far hopefully.

Its bad enough others in the US and elsewhere sell the public a pig-in-a-poke climate "action" charade of COP21with no teeth, no real commitment, and no real action - still the same old corporate streetwalkers singing a different tune. Add big-money/corporate whore NY Gov Andy Cuomo's "$8 billion in the next 12 years" bailout of aged nuke plants on taxpayer backs - sold as "Clean Energy Standard" by DINO Cuomo, but a corporate giveaway by a politician looking for campaign-contributions - another fraud delaying sustainable green energy development!
“Nuclear is NOT emission-free!”

“This (COP21) is a total fraud. We’re not going to reduce emissions as long as we let fossil fuels be the cheapest form of energy. There are lots of countries that want to lift their people out of poverty, and of course they should do that. but everyone would be better off if the price of fossil fuels was honest. It should include its cost to society.”

Armageddon couldn't get any more profitable could it?
Oh well, kudos to the implementers for thinking only of themselves...
