the Democrats are great at making speeches–they even propose great pieces of legislation–they have many honorable people in the party–good people working for their constituents–then we have the corporate wing of the Democrats --the ones who have stood in the way of progress for decades–who refuse to fight for what the American people have indicated they wanted for over 5 decades-who leave us to the fascists anti-democratic actions of the Republicans–time and again-who are to this day are screwing the American people over for the benefit of their corporate bribers–ah -donors–and truth be told --most of them are millionaires who’s personal fortunes would be effected by doing something for the American people instead of for their corporate owners–because --THEY TOO are corporate owners–with bundles of stocks to their names–and a suspected history of insider trading on their fore knowledge of the consequences of their legislation(how do you get rich on a congressman’s salary??corruption)

You can tell which ones are the corporate wing, they selected Nancy Pelosi as their leader.

And all of the so-called progressive squad members voted for Pelosi without getting anything in return. Turns out they are the fraud squad who happily go along with the continued destruction of the USA. There’s an old saying: Actions speak louder than words.

The new climate denial is climate delay. Say more or less the right thing, then slow-walk and sandbag at every possible turn.

We need to start with one state out of 50 with two qualities:

  1. Integrity of deeds. sigh.
  2. Climate isn’t treated only as an organizational cash cow. It’s not all about maximizing your organization’s own profits and minimizing your own losses. There’s no focus on where the world is going and precisely what the world needs to do about it.

You’re right that the lack of ethics & the presence of way too much money is responsible for much of the bad governance we endure. Something else is rarely mentioned in Media but is equally to blame: the structure of this government. Why do Germany & other EU nations enjoy a more just & more egalitarian society? They have a parliamentary form of legislature where there are many political parties & governments are formed via coalitions. This ensures that everybody gets something important every legislative session while nobody gets everything they want. Here in the U.S. we’ve seen that the corporations & oligarchs get everything they want & we receive so very little. The Senate, or House of Lords if you will, exists to block legislation that benefits the people, and it’s tyranny under any name, even if corporate media fawns over it as ‘an institution’ or ‘a tradition’ or even, laughably a ‘hallmark of our democracy’ – it’s nothing more than a set-up to prevent needed change. It has to be disbanded, overthrown, whatever. I’m in favor of putting it on trial for treason but that won’t happen.

We just need to look at that crowd. It’s the hard way, and perhaps the only way to get change. But in Florida they want protesting to be illegal.
Of Course the oligarchs and uppity ups get what they want. That’s the number one requirement for capitalism.

I want to hear more detail.
Say Their Names! Count their numbers. Talk about immediate solutions.
Whose names am I talking about?
The names of the coastal cities that flooded last year.
What numbers? The numbers of people who need to move to higher ground, NOW.
The names of the countries which are no longer able to grow food. How many people.
The names of the places this year where people died because they were too hot. How many people.
Do countries need to evacuate? Say their names. Ask the oil and gas countries to take them…

Yeah, we can try to stop the oil and gas, plant more trees, reduce energy consumption. But it won’t be soon enough. We need to identify the damages now. We need to start fixing things now.

Is the build back better plan about more sprawling highways or mass transit? About war or peace? Does it include relocation for New Orleans?
