The lead photo should be on posters urging support for a 100% estate tax. What qualifies these two to decide for us what to think?

And while we’re on the subject, a passing reference to their being “libertarians” should have made it clear that they’re RIGHT-WING libertarians. Left libertarians such as myself resent being lumped together with these self-interested, silver-spoon brats.

Charles Alexander: " My beloved Time, once a soldier for truth."

I cannot blame Charles for not wanting to bite the hand that feeds him…but PLEEEASE! Time a soldier for truth? Nothing could be further from the truth! Time which if anything, has been and is a corporate soldier and a cheer leading whore for wars. Even Hitler was once Time’s man of the year.

"Meredith Corporation Chairman and CEO, Stephen Lacy, said: “We are creating a premier media company serving nearly 200 million American

consumers

across industry-leading digital, television, print, video, mobile, and social platforms positioned for growth.” (from the article)

Look - nobody is going to do more than slow these people down.

So operate at the individual’s level - stop being consumers.

It is possible to be re-born - and not in the religious sense.

Let’s not forget a few facts about the Koch brothers in addition to climate denial:

  1. The Koch brothers’ father, Fred, was one of the founding members of the John Birch Society, a far-right organization that fought against civil rights and accused President John F. Kennedy of treason shortly before he was assassinated in 1963. Charles Koch was a member until 1968, one year after he became chairman of Koch Industries.
  2. Through the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity (AIP) huge amounts of money are being spent to fund their candidates. The huge disparity helps bring about fears that elections will soon be decided not by votes, but by who gave the most money, making a joke of campaign financing.
  3. AIP has supported voter identification laws, which disproportionately affects minority voters, who usually vote Democratic. AIP also sent out wrong information to these voters about the election date for and the wrong number for the Board of Elections.

The Kochs wasted their money. The subscriber base for the magazines they bought skews elderly and they’re literally dying off by the week.

Ah, the Kochs, these are true sh!tgibbons that are masterful players of the long game. ALEC, their oily garch secret donor confabs, their endowment of university ‘think tanks’, dark money mavens, working to subvert sanity and democracy at every turn.
And now their filthy fingers are on/in a publishing venture. I mean how better to promulgate the righty libertarian planet killing crap that comes out of the think tanks captive by their money ‘invested’ at universities.

Good, true facts. And another fact that seems to be lost on many, is that Fred Koch and the John Birch Society demonized the hell out of MLK by labeling him a communist, which in this day an age translates to a terrorist that has committed treason.

Maybe you’re spending time with the wrong young people:
