Wealth tax is entirely different from corporate income tax. Walmart Inc. is subject to corporate income tax, the members of the Walton family are not. They are subject to regular income tax. There is no such thing as a ‘wealth tax’ in the US (that I am aware of). A wealth tax would be a tax on possessions.

Just a truth teller.

Doesn’t everyone?

There is a wealth tax, it is the property tax. We need to stop restricting this to homeowners, and expand it to include other forms of property / wealth.

And of course you still do not answer my question: Why do corporations work so hard and invest so many resources into reducing and eliminating corporate taxes? Hmm? Any ideas?

Democrats used the only possible avenue available to pass the stimulus bill that literally not 1 of 465 republican congressmen would support.
Some things they want to pass are not only blocked by constant gop obstruction but losers like Manchin who want to feel powerful and hurt the democratic party for some deranged reason.

What would you like democrats to do with the filibuster still in place? The republican senate will back NOTHING Biden wants done.

Its an expense, I suppose. How much do corporations spend for that purpose? Is it only to reduce corporate tax? Probably not. More likely to get government contracts, reduced regulation and other special considerations.

Why are you here? You are neither helpful nor enlightening. From my perspective you are simply an old curmudgeon who has no one else to talk to, so you take it out on us. Just go away!

LOL Nope. You’re an obtuse shill.

Rather than engage in rational discussion it is always easier to resort to name-calling, isn’t it? Lets see if I can remember the playground response… “I’m Rubber, you’re Glue - whatever you call me bounces off and sticks to you!”. Now do you feel more at home?

No, but you and your corporate friends obviously do, Bub.

If all you want is an echo chamber, you could just email yourself comments back and forth so that you’d never have to think.

Now don’t get upset, Sweetie. I don’t like ‘Bub’ anymore than you probably like being called ‘Sweetie’.

For reference:
Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin to Headline Event for Anti-Union Group Fighting $15 Wage
Weeks after voting to kill a $15 minimum wage, senators Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin will discuss “finding bipartisan solutions” at the conference of a major lobbying group fighting minimum wage and labor legislation. They know which side they’re on.

A corporation gets its taxes raised. Paying higher taxes means it makes less $. To counter the lost revenue, it raises prices on its products. The higher taxes are therefore passed to the customer. It doesnt give raises to some employees, passing losses onto them.

A worker gets his taxes raised. He wants a raise to counter the lost income. He doesn’t get one.

These don’t seem to be the same

A 2020 study found 31% of corporate tax increases are put on consumers, 38% covered by workers, 31% by shareholders.

So again: Why do you suppose corporations have invested so many billions of dollars in corporate tax avoidance? Tax havens and off-shoring, lawyers and accountants, lobbyists and campaigns, politicians and parties.

Since, you know, you’ve “proven” that these taxes have no effect on the corporation.

If you and your ideological partner here are correct, please explain the massive corporate spending on tax avoidance. Why are they wasting their money when it makes no difference?

Let’s also remember all the lobbyists in Washington D.C. — they also have a big hand in everything that goes on in this country. there are budgets military etc alot of bloated garbage out there – insurance companies-- drug companies making a fortune off of experimental drugs for every condition under the sun.
i can go on and on – it is sickening- Watch evening new and there is a drug advertisement for everything under the sun but may cause this or that. --Very hard to sue them etc. the whole system is corrupt from top to bottom-- excuse my rant.
