Corporations live forever unless their consumers and the planet that they inhabit die. Their assumed immortality leads them to all sorts of amorality which leads them to infinite amounts of immorality. And now, as Paul Harvey was wont to say on the radio, we know the rest of the story.
The physical planet beneath our feet is not something that can be posseseesd by any single one of us and in highly evolved culture this is deeply understood.Stewardship is what we are talking about here. At any time that the land is not being cared for it would no longer be kept in their care .
If this was the guiding principle on this planet ,half the industries in the world would have to give up their property .
In a highly evolved culture, a corporation, would never be allowed to despoil the land, air or water to make a profit, for it would be clearly seen that the quality of the lives of the very people who own or work for the corporation are being irrevocably damaged .What profit is there in that.
There comes a time when the interests of the many must supercead the interests of the few.
Does society not have a responsibility to itself ?
