Cruelty is Not a Human Right

César Chelala

It is the beginning of their nightmares. Many Palestinians go to bed every night without knowing if their homes will be bulldozed during the night by the Israeli police. According to Jeff Halper, founder of the Israeli Committee Against House demolitions (ICAHD), house demolitions are one of Israel’s main weapon of occupation of Palestinian land.

Is there anything so putrid as "entitlement" from "God"?

So much wrong with the world today hails back to the "proud tradition" of Mars rules as brought forth via a succession of Anglo-European empires. Its central tactics now form the "common core" practices of their armed and dangerous allies:

"The practice of home demolitions originated under the British Mandate. The government gave the military commanders authority to confiscate and raze “any house, structure or land…the inhabitants of which he is satisfied have committed…any offence against these Regulations involving violence.” In 1945 the authorities passed the Defence (Emergency) Regulations. Regulation 119 made this practice available to the local Military Commander without restrictions or appeal."

Kind of makes the case for being an atheist....

Or understanding that god is not a white guy. The premise of Source, the Infinite, Creator is SO much greater than this conceit that has turned the spiritual axiom around by making 'god' into man's image and likeness. Arrogance combined both with tunnel vision AND spiritual retardation at its peak led to this simplistic distortion of The Deity.

This is inhumane and I am sure God does not want it. The God I am aware of is a God of Goodness.
Terrorist, fundamental Christians waiting for Rapture, and Israelis use God as their excuse to kill and destroy.
And God weeps.

This is a well written article with adequate documentation of the atrocities committed by the so-called 'only democratic state' in the middle east. Nazi Germany and Apartheid S. Africa could have taken lessons from Israel as far as cruel behavior is concerned. It is worth remembering that the behavior of the State of Israel is only possible because of the compliance of the USA.
