Cuba Joins Global Ban on Cluster Munitions

WASHINGTON - Cuba acceded to the Convention on Cluster Munitions on April 6, 2016, following through on a pledge it made in September 2015, Human Rights Watch said today. Prior to that pledge, Cuba had been critical both of the convention’s provisions and the unconventional diplomatic process that led to it.

The entire world should ban cluster munitions. 'The USA gives Israel cluster bombs that it has used in Lebanon. Cuba may have a poor human rights record but it is good it signed the ban. 'The world should sign the ban on landmines & deactivate them. The late Princess Diana advocated to ban them.
