Decrying 'War Being Waged Aainst Working People,' Sanders Joins Striking Union Members at UCLA

"What we are seeing all across this country is a war being waged against working people," Sen. Bernie Sanders said while standing in solidarity with striking union workers in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

  1. Amend the programs that are currently in place so that everyone who lived in Flint during April 2014-December 2016 can receive free water tanks, no matter their current status.

  2. Designate a contractor pool, made up of majority Black-owned businesses, or fund to allow homeowner replace interior plumbing that was corroded during the crisis. All families affected will be identified using shared data from services line replacement program, FAST START program.

  3. Produce a satisfactory report showing healthy water levels in all affected Flint homes tested once all homes plumbing and water tanks have been replaced.

Walking the walk

Imagine if Bernie now were to show up and stand with the Amazon workers trying to unionize, and those of Wall Mart!

That could be a critical turning point.

BERNIE is a candidate with Ideas and Leadership.

He is not a Half-Assed Democrat on a listening Tour, Bernie is fighting for WE THE PEOPLE right from the get go.

The crew of Dem candidates seem confused about what WE THE PEOPLE really want.

We want a more egalitarian society where the Rich are paying their fair share of taxes and not shipping our jobs overseas looking to increase their profits by paying foreigners slave wages.

We want Health Care for EVERYONE and we want to eliminate the HUGE administrative PROFITS the Health Care Industry is stealing from WE THE PEOPLE.

We want a Health Care system that does not put people with Pre-Existing Conditions into Bankruptcy.

Unfortunately, nothing will be ever changed by voting until our thoroughly corrupt election system is cleaned up. Otherwise, the results will always be the Oligarchy’s preference and not those of the citizens. It is a major issue and it is never discussed.

Personally, I would prefer they drop this every 4 year bread and circuses act and go for the real thing to placate the masses – bring back the gladiators!

It has been my intention to keep mentioning the need for voter/voting reform, and to do it NOW. Some states may get it right if the feds and the FEC do their jobs.

In the movie ‘Moneyball’, Red Sox owner tells Brad Pitt’s character, Oakland A General Manager Billy Beane, who was the first to use the metrics method in managing baseball: “The first guy through the wall, he always get bloody. Always. This is threatening not just a way of doing business, but in their minds, its threatening the game. Really what it’s threatening is their livelihood, their jobs. It’s threatening the way that they do things. Every time that happens, whether it’s a government, a way of doing business, whatever, the people who are holding the reins, have their hands on the switch, they go batshit crazy.” It is an insightful, if sobering, speech.

Today, ‘centrist’ Democrats, the billionaires, Wall Street, corporate media, are all going ‘batshit crazy’ over ‘the first guy through the wall’ Bernie. He threatens ‘the game’, their ‘way of doing business’ for the past four decades that resulted in our current sorry state. Watch for everyone ‘holding the reins’ with their ‘hands on the switch’ to pile on Bernie. Bernie has been fighting for us every day of his public life, and more than holding his own, but how can we, in good conscience, let him get bloodied and not help?

The happy ending of ‘Moneyball’? The Boston Red Sox adopts Beane’s metrics method, and wins the World Series.
