It takes 2/3 of the senators to remove someone from office.
There certainly won’t be enough senate votes to remove Kavanaugh in January.
Perhaps after 2022.

Given the democrat’s track record, I’d say that the odds of them successfully increasing the size of the Supreme Court are about the same as getting Kavanaugh impeached. zip.

Impeachment is a much cleaner solution, that could also be used with judges in the lower courts. Not that it will ever happen, since both sides of our single corporationist party want to keep the current judges.

You might be right, but you’re equating two very different obstacles.
If the Democrats can’t remove Kavanaugh, and won’t increase the
size of the court, we can pressure them to do the latter
but it is no use pressuring them to do the former.

I believe the “big tent” acceptance of many ideologies under one roof worked for the Dems for a very long time actually. I believe the current mess that is the ineffective democrats is due far more to the decision to move rightward in order to capture disaffected republicans as their party moved even further rightward.
It is time for new leadership within that party.
