'Disturbing' Undertones Detected in Trump's Bizarre Poland Speech

Jake Johnson, staff writer

During a speech at the site of the Warsaw Uprising Monument in Poland on Thursday, President Donald Trump proclaimed in terms some characterized as "disturbing" that "the fundamental question of our time is whether the West has the will to survive."

Zeig Heil, mein fuhrer!

That is the odious level to which our despicable "leadership" of stupidity, personal pathology, and astonishing ignorance has sunk.

Lessons and words of wisdom once learned, but now abandoned, have been forgotten and replaced by corrupt jingoism, worship of wealth, and wholesale ignorance condoned by a now corrupt congress of similar shallowness - these words provide a stark contrast.

"In this spring of 1953 the free world weighs one question above all others: the chance for a just peace for all peoples.
The way chosen by the United States was plainly marked by a few clear precepts, which govern its conduct in world affairs.

First: No people on earth can be held, as a people, to be enemy, for all humanity shares the common hunger for peace and fellowship and justice.

Second: No nation's security and well-being can be lastingly achieved in isolation but only in effective cooperation with fellow-nations.

Third: Any nation's right to form of government and an economic system of its own choosing is inalienable.

Fourth: Any nation's attempt to dictate to other nations their form of government is indefensible.

And fifth: A nation's hope of lasting peace cannot be firmly based upon any race in armaments but rather upon just relations and honest understanding with all other nations.

In the light of these principles the citizens of the United States defined the way they proposed to follow, through the aftermath of war, toward true peace".

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed. This world in arms is not spending money alone. It is spending the sweat of its laborers, the genius of its scientists, the hopes of its children" -- Dwight David Eisenhower - Chance for Peace speech

It sounds like Trump was speaking to the white nationalist movement in Poland as well as here in the US. He generally doesn't speak to any other group of people when he speaks, it is always to the white nationalist movement. He was elected to be president of the entire United States but he has rejected that role and assumed a role as a movement leader instead. The real enemy for Trump and his followers is a multiracial society. They are fighting for the legal and institutional supremacy of whites.

What is this "undertones detected" shit??? Trump's rhetoric in this speech was unambiguously fascist. It should not even be a topic of discussion! The whole "save 'western civilization' from its infiltrating enemies" meme is straight from Hitler - the only difference being the particular ethnicity/religion that is being fabricated as the "threat".

Trump is going to need more than just that massive bullet-proof screen he spoke behind if he keeps this up!

Thank you for a reminder of what a real President said! The Trump/Bannon "Presidency" Is akin to something Ike would have scraped off the bottom of his shoe!

#9

The voice of Trump-the twisted thoughts of Bannon and Spencer! Adolph in hell must really be enjoying this!

Those Poles have an irrational hatred for Russia not much unlike the late Mr. Brzezinski. They fail to realize the US empire is standing on shaky grounds they also fail to sense that their stupid move to station US radars and missile systems on their land they are inviting trouble. In the event of a war between US and Russia Poland will be among the very first countries to get vaporized.

He looks pretty lonely up there behind his "wall" of glass. I guess no one wanted to sit too close.

#12

Don't worry, his master Putin will give him a sound spanking (in private). Trump is a hollow headed bully who makes a lot of noise. Albeit he is so stupid that by his sheer imprudence he could start an accidental nuclear holocaust.

#13

Of course Eisenhower was hardly practicing what he preaching. As he was uttering those words, the CIA was busy plotting against and assassinating nations' leaders precisely because of the "economic system of their choosing". Only a couple months after this speech, the Eisenhower Administration overthrew the democratically elected Mosaddeq government of Iran and installed the capitalism-friendly fascist Shah. Many other leaders were less lucky than Mosaddeq and paid for their "choice of economic systems" with their lives.

You are joking right? Trump and Putin are soul mates...

Muzzle the bastard, put him in a straight-jacket, and rendition him to the Gulag where he belongs and his pal Vlad can visit.

Muzzle is a device that is placed over the snout of an animal to keep it from biting or otherwise opening its mouth.
