'Divisive': How Corporate Media Dismiss Ideas Unpopular With Elites

Only in that they divide people from the elites. But since corporate media (and the great majority of politicians) think that they are part of the elite, it’s kind of true that it divides the people from the media.

“Near as anyone can see, they’ll never again work together.”

Perhaps that’s just as well given the only action both sides ever seem to agree on is the urgent need to “democratize” * any country that objects to outright theft of its natural resources by U.S. banks and/or corporations.

From the start, the Constitution was written as a deliberate obstacle to true democracy, because its Framers deeply distrusted democracy as rule by the uneducated, ignorant masses instead of the elite, educated few, which they were.

Corporate media ARE a vital part of the ruling elite. Ray McGovern calls the rulers the MICIMATT Complex: the Military-Industrial-Congressional-Intelligence-Media-Academia-Think-Tank Complex).

Any check to see who owns nearly all the media systems in our country would explain the reporting. They are doing what they need to do to get a paycheck and the American people be damned it seems.

The wealthy don’t have to ask to be taxed; they can bypass the governmental middle-man and invest in renewable energy, higher wages and progressive candidates any time they want to. Their media outlets don’t make it seem like they want to.

Stating the obvious…Krugman’s ‘Thinking’ = corporate tool/economic hack.

That’s been the case for quite a while. If you want a good laugh, watch Krugman debate Professor Richard Wolff, there are a few up on YT. You can see in his eyes how petrified Krugman is, while Wolff is at ease as he mops the floor with Krugman on any economic topic.

come on —the media is the propaganda arm of the capitalists and their game plan–they will support the corporations who own them and work hard to convince the world that the activists and their demands are the real criminals–this is capitalism at it’s finest hour–don’t like what is happening??? get rid of the capitalists and their thralls who are posing as our leaders

I saw the pick of HRC as candidate divsive. The reason I could never vote for her is that she was shemelessly lying to us - while she was supposedly trying to fix healthcare they were actually conducting the negotiations for the Marrakesh Agreement, and GATS (the Uruguay Round) which effectively rigged it so we could not fix it and also potentially traded tens of millions or more jobs away which woud have led to most of those people losing any health coverage at all. And still is supposed to happen. . And she also lied about SCHIP and CHIP. Clinton did not support it, he put forward an anemic proposal that made it so practically no families were eligible. Which research in Phoenix area showed unequivocally was vastly inadequate to solve the problem. They knew this.

If these are supposed to be our friends,I think we can do much better elsewhere. .

Imagine how awful a world without “corporate control” or “corporate media.” Shudder to think what we’d do without them.

Some of the corporate members could well be our neighbors, real nice, friendly folk…who are protected by the corporate veil (legal term of art) while at work, in a way that they are not as private citizens.

First they cripple the economy and starve citizens via sanctions.
