She would be Obama, 2004 and thus, become Obama 2008 (she will be eligible to run by 2024). They know it and cannot allow it to happen. It would herald the progressive takeover of the Democratic Party power structure. All those people getting all that money, power, and prestige - they are not going to give it up.
Imagine, we could have a minority woman president in 2024. They will not let it happen. They would rather lose elections - and the country than give up their goodies. “All politics is local.” Yes they are. Even down to whether this is “good for me” vs “good for the nation.” People in power do not give up all they have without a fight.

The amazing scam is that they pretend to be different by the D’s embrace of Identity Politics and the R’s of Bible Thumping. The end policies are pretty much the same…war, big business,disregard of the citizens who provide most of the taxes. We are truly back to taxation without representation. Keep the people divided on private issues and the major issues can be controlled from both sides at the detriment of the people. Even the media pretends to be sided - i.e. FOX vs. MSNBC…but in the end when it comes to actual policy, they are on the same page. Their job is to distract rather than inform us.

- Paul, what economists call a “Greater Recession” is actually called a “Depression” — which is absolutely, IMHO, coming very soon.

In fact something quite remarkable happened in WWII of Es, when just after ‘Dug-out’ Doug signed the surrender on the Big ‘Mo’, a British Empire’s Major General, Sir Douglas Gracey KCB, KCIE, CBE, MC & Bar — don’t Empires love to bestow titles — was in charge of the surrender of all Japanese Empire troops in South East Asia.
So what we had was that the British Empire, the French Empire (which had no troops there because of the ‘Vichy’ embarrassment of having been captured by the Nazi Empire), the defeated Japanese Empire, and the sole American democracy, were all gathered in Vietnam to sort out who got what and how to score and divvy-up the “spoils of war” .
What Gen. Gracey (acronyms) did was to order the British and American ‘winning’ troops, to re-equip the Japanese troops — who only weeks earlier were fighting the Brit and U.S. troops — with just side-arms, so that the Japanese troops could continue to control the Vietnamese peasants and any revolutionary ones, and allow the Brits and Yanks to do the more important business of protecting the ‘territorial interests’ of the winning Empires.
The British command and U.S. officers under it, obeyed orders for their weeks-ago enemy Japanese troops to be so re-equipped and ‘used’ — but only U.S. enlisted troops complained.
EMPIRE is a game at the top of the pyramid — in all matters — that has its privileges.

All ye needed to know about the intentions of the Democratic Party happened a few weeks ago, as the DCCC and the DNC made damn sure they primaried all the members of “the squad” as well as any other current democrat that even dreamed about a progressive agenda.
The only people that will speak at the phony democratic “convention” are ones that were pre approved by Saban, Schwartz, Soros and the rest of the big money democratic donors.

Of course they and Joe are completely tone deaf, as 2020 doesn’t even come close to reflecting 1992. Clinton was young and vibrant, and Joe doesn’t have a Perot to peel off about 15-20% of the republicans libertarian wing.
Joe will continue to say out of touch, imbecilic things, and Trump will announce a magical “cure” for coronavirus in mid October. Then it’s a sprint/limp to the finish for two senile old boobs.
The democrats could still lose this thing. And they could lose it legitimately.

That’s actually a very good idea – when Bubba Clinton gives his talk she should argue the points that he gets wrong – Bernie should video the speakers and turn the video over to her so she can give her stand on what all of them say.

They should be!!! I am so proud and excited so many true progressives are winning :AOC + the Squad + Justice Democrats – + I will be 69 in a few months and I hope MORE run and win! Bernie has been my favorite progressive person for a decade or more (I live in Seattle) … we need to rid ourselves of these Corporate/Centrist DINOs!!

If the dems win the 2020 presidency, i hope there will be a lot more uprising and turmoil to uproot the DNC and the corporate democrats for good. Our nation is sick and tired of 400+ years of rule by a tiny minority class keeping lording over we the people. We need to launch the Green New Deal whether they elites like it or not, we are the majority after all.
