It would be nice if we could send all of the virus and climate deniers someplace where they could not cause any more harm. If that were to work I have other groups we could have join them.
Could someone set up a web site with a seasonally adjusted Mauna Loa greenhouse gas clock that keeps going forward at a fairly steady pace, with small adjustments to match the reality? The March numbers went from 414.8 ppm in 2019 to 417.6 ppm in 2020, but those numbers would be seasonally adjusted down just a small bit because March is slightly higher than a straight line drawn through the seasonal oscillations to get the seasonally adjusted average. May is tops and September/October is the bottom of every year.
I tell climate deniers to go buy seaside property.

I have a half bottle of Old Spice aftershave. That and a new bottle still unopened where gifts in the early 70’s.
I guess time is nearly up for the Old Spice. Perhaps it has fermented into something I can inject to stave off the new virus strains.

A single Haliade-X 13 MW wind turbine installed in Skipjack (NJ), Ocean Wind (MD), or Dogger Bank (UK) wind farms this year will eliminate nearly half a million tons of CO2 by 2030. One built at the end of 2029 will eliminate zero tons of CO2 by 2030. (Just between those 3 wind farms there will be about 400 Haliades installed soon; that’s almost 20 million tons of CO2 not emitted over the next 10 years.)
We have to replace all of our fossil energy NOW, with all possible speed and everything we have behind it, including an emergency declaration from Biden and massive demonstrations, boycotts, blockades, relentless silent shadowing, and anything else we can do to keep people, parties and corporations from opposing a comprehensive Green New Deal, just reintroduced by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ed Markey. A ban on drilling and mining on federal lands and a massive expansion of federal lands; a ban on fossil exports; a ban on ICEVs and flying before 2030; nationalizing fossil fuel, ICEV, agrochemical and other corporations to shut them down; and more; are all needed now.
Politicians who have the slightest idea what it will actually take to avoid ending civilization and most life on Earth are paralyzed because they know they can’t do any of that and keep their jobs, and they know anything they are willing to do—grossly inadequate carbon price, for example—will be useless.
I get the idea of trying to communicate that we only have 6 years left, but most people, if they find out about it at all, will think, oh good, we have 5 years and 11 months more to do nothing. Not consciously, of course, but that will be what happens. Unless we prevent it.
