Don Jr's Political Advice for Democrats: Stop Being "Left of Commie"

Common Dreams staff

Offering some useless insights into the opposition party over the weekend, the president's eldest son Donald Trump Jr. told Democrats their biggest problem is that they are now "left of commie" on the political spectrum.

"The problem is rather than being reasonable and coming to the table, they forced themselves further, and further and further left," Trump Jr. said during a Fox News interview Saturday night. "I mean, they are left of commie right now, and that's a real problem for them because I don't think that's where America was [during the 2016 election]."

…and Don, Jr., knows precisely how left-wing today’s commies are, the real Russian KGB ones.

#3

Just as the acorn doesn’t fall from the tree, the turd doesn’t all far from the asshole.
…NOT Confucius

#4

Well, I have to admit, if anyone is an expert on Commies it is Don Jr’s dad!

#5

Soon this jerk will be on another lovely vacation killing wild animals for the fun of it. What a dismal fucking family, the Trumps.

#6

He needs to go on safari with Dick Cheney.

#7

Yes, and they should both drink heavily just before they’re about to start shooting.

#8

If only who he said was true. The vast majority of Dems are far to the right of the illustrious Nixon, Ike, La Follette, etc. and many, like Obama, hold up Reagan as an idol. The problem is that we need actual commies in the U.S. body politic.

#9

I call on The University of Pennsylvania in all seriousness to rescind this imbecile’s degree. If this is what is produced by the Ivy League I am glad my degree came from somewhere else.

The trouble is, virtually everyone who self-describes as “conservative” - which is a vast majority of US residents outside of the major cities, really believe that the US has been moving further and further left since the days of Bill Clinton and that Obama was the most extremist socialist-leftist the US has ever seen.

Of course, exactly the opposite is true - when it comes to gloves-off capitalism the US today is well to the right of, say, the Harding-Coolidge days, and Obama was, at best, a Woodrow Wilson. But it is futile trying to to explain this to a “conservative”.

I was remiss to not point out, that I’m NOT judging Trump’s youngest child, or his young grandchildren. Those judgments can wait until they are adults and make their own choices.

Inverted truth or is it perversion of truth? Junior is giving “advice” to the Democrats that will ensure their defeat. Getting the Reds out of our unions and the Civil Rights Movement was a tragic mistake.

The last “liberal” President we had was LBJ. The big mistake he made that fucked up his legacy and his excellent domestic policy was Vietnam.

#14

Quit being beyond right wing Nazi

#15

no shit…that was my first thought as well…

#16

"I think people want some moderation in their thought and from their leaders,"
Hahhahahahahahahahaha :rofl::rofl::rofl: Like father, like son – they’re both pinheads!
If this statement is a description of his father then #shithole donny ain’t his father!

#17

I think a very, very long safari to Siberia in quest of exotic animals would be a good thing for young Donald.

Penn just revoked the honorary degrees of Steve Wynn and Bill Cosby. I don’t think they can revoke actual degrees. The last time Penn revoked an honorary degree was a hundred years ago so this recent action is a big deal.

…and perhaps the most liberal candidate (with a major party nomination) was McGovern. Ever since he lost to Nixon in '72, the Democrats have been trying desperately not to let another liberal get the nomination. Rigging the system against Bernie is just one example.

#20

I don’t think it helps the cause to claim the primary was rigged against Sanders. It just make progressives who make that bogus claim sound foolish.
