Anyone who tries to tell you that corruption is only a Republican problem or only a Democratic problem is a partisan hack. Corruption is not the exclusive province of one political party and never has been. Two recent scandals show that corruption is a bipartisan problem.

Good piece. Corruption is also branded as “national security” on a bipartisan basis. Look past the “weakening our military” bit and to the gutting of the U.S. economy and society.

How about knew qualifications to serve in congress. Like the system where athletes can be non pro as long as they haven’t taken money which would label them as pro.
A law degree necessary, but not having practiced. An educator, preferably a professor. And willing to honor a limited term.
It seems that if instead you get seasoned lawyers, business owners, and prosecutors, you get tainted government. So why not the changes?

While I respect and admire Glenn Greenwald, it srill irks me that he thought ‘Citizens United’ was correctly decided.
