the only way to stop Trudeau, the Liberals and the Conservatives from handing out fossil fuel subsidies is to stop them from taking kickbacks from the fossil fuel corporations and lobbyists.

The level of stupidity here knows no bounds. The Alberta and Federal Governments not only push Kinder Morgan twinning to get more of tarsands derived energy to Asia , but they also push Keystone to the US and a number of projects to the Eastern Coast so as to deliver this oil. We are talking about millions of extra barrels of oil per day over a 40 PLUS year period. You do not invest Billions building these tarsands plants and billions building pipelines for a project that will last 20 years.

The Governments are locking themselves into this oil FAR into the future. The claim this will help finance clean energy initiatives is STUPID. The amount of monies that need to be invested in Clean energy added to the amount of damage done over the next 40+ years because these plants built and running can never be recouped. This is Capitalism in action. Get the environment and Governments to pay the REAL costs.

The largest provider of subsidies to fossil fuel interests is the USA.

We spend drunkenly on military adventures throughout the Mideast to keep the wells aflowin.’

Similar to the way Jerry Brown operates in California, the country’s third-largest oil-producing state.
Understandable to an extent, as battling the richest industry in the history of money is truly tilting at windmills.

How can a man such as Trudeau be such a disappointment. He should take a lesson from Jacinda Ardern, the PM of New Zealand. She has taken the first step by not allowing any more offshore exploration in the EEZ of New Zealand. Where are other world leaders, willing to take on the vested interests.
