Outspending the ten next largest military powers in the world combined, is the excess over what’s needed for our defense just a waste of money for the masses, absorbing money and resources that could be better applied to improve their lives, even substantially? Is the empire profitable for the many, or is it profitable just the few at the expense of the many?

Bravo Medea, your courage in the face of the power of the MSM/CIA/MIC is admirable.

What is interesting is that since each subsequent President gathered more and more power under the Principles of the "Unitary Executive " theory the role of the Congress and the Senate has diminished over time. Trump has carried this theory to an even greater level.

With that being the case members of Congress and of the Senate can pretend they not responsible for all of these actions abroad.

One wonders how many of the same would vote FOR such interventions were the ability to wage war back where it belonged. I suspect Biden and a whole pile of Democrats would sign their names in favor of more blood. Remember only Barbara Lee voted against the A.U.M.F.
