For those who object to their tax dollars funding a procedure they see as contrary to their beliefs, I say deduct that amount from your gross income. Then I’ll do the same with the part of my taxes that funds war and subsidies to Big Oil/Nuclear (guess who’ll save more?)

“People” don’t get pregnant, WOMEN And GIRLS deal with this issue alone. Don’t insult us by trying to reframe this as something to do with identity politics. Women and girls can’t identify out of pregnancy with mere feelings.Regardless of race or income every woman and girl deserves control over her own body, not to have to beg nasty old men to make exemptions Maybe for maternal death or sexual assault which is yet another issue no one cares about since it happens to a majority of females.

But Biden has historically supported the Hyde Amendment.

Tell me again why we’re supposed to vote Blue no matter who?

Because red is dead?
I guess if we want to be mean about it, we can blame democrats for not owning the presidency or the senate, where all the legislation that the democrats pass ends up dying on the vine.
But it’s the voters that need to take the blame for not insisting on better representation.

The DP “strategists” since at least the Clintons & Obama frauds think they can win by adopting positions that appeal to some mythological '“center” while sabotaging progressives with predictable results seen over past elections.
That entrenched corporate-whore party sellouts will reap what they sow as millions see them clearly for the corrupt deceivers they are - what percentage of the 100 or so million voters that didn’t in 2016 was a consequence of the same shitehead sellouts in power screwing the progressive left to cater to conservative values like this pathetic weak garbage and corporate campaign-contribution bribes!?
Bugger the entrenched Democratic Party sellouts! ENOUGH!

Barack Obama stated that he would have been seen as a “moderate Republican” in the Reagan Government. The Democratic party is filled with a number of former Republicans.

These individuals brought their right wing ideology with them. As that occurs a number of these same former Republicans suggest that “Purists” , in refusing to support Policies meant to appeal to the right, will ensure a “Trump Victory”.

The voter dutifully votes Democrat because “Trump is worse” and end up with a bunch of Republicans in power. Party operatives then spout off that a vote for any party other then the Democrats is a vote for Trump.

That’s how Centrism and LOTE crap works and that is how the USA becomes ever more Fascist.

Yes. It’s like the escapement in a mechanical watch, allowing a meaured amount of movement in one direction only.

The only thing that Joe Biden has ever supported is a woman’s right to be silent as he gropes them.

You would think that a House that is led by a supposedly progressive WOMAN would have moved to have the Hyde amendment eviscerated on her first day.
Of course that would require the cognitive dissonance that would make you believe that Nancy is progressive. As long as Nancy is the speaker, the Hyde amendment will stand.

There are very few who can demonstrate their ability and history of being on the wrong side of every issue as our illustrious democratic nominee. What a fucked up political situation we have that Biden and Trump are our choices!

Most of the Democratic incumbents will run for reelection in 2022. If progressives decide to launch primary challenges, they’ll have a ready-made slogan to throw at the incumbents: You can run, but you cannot Hyde!

No wonder he looks so dehydrated.

That “dime’s worth of difference” has dipped to a nickel.

“Bans on abortion coverage, like the Hyde Amendment, have long disproportionately impacted Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and the time has come to end these bans.”

(The Hyde Amendment) “is particularly harmful to people with low incomes, people of color, young people, and immigrants—who all disproportionately rely on Medicaid for their healthcare coverage.”

Who exactly among “the House Democrats” made the inclusion of this amendment possible as part of the 2021 Appropriations Bill?

Having progressive values and needs of the Common Good continually betrayed time after time by a few revolving sellouts, and a few so-called “leaders” on various issues, makes them a large part of the crime - perhaps the largest part - not part of reform or the solution. Enough indeed!

Ah! I remember well those Glory days when we DID have the House, the Senate AND the POTUS. For Two Whole Years! I can’t begin to list the wonderful progressive legislation that got wisely written and quickly passed…

Birth control freedom gives women control over their lives and makes the lives of those born to have a greater chance of a happy productive life.
The dims priority is to always get elected so that they play to the this ant-abortioni demographic, the problem is the dims try to play both sides of an issue and they come off as inept and foolish. Republicans always play to their base, the dims base is disintegrating as they seem to be unable to comprehend the desires and beliefs of the majority in their own party.
