Escalation or Cease Fire? Saudi Arabia Declares Pause For Its Attack on Yemen

A spokesperson for the Saudi Arabia-led military coalition leading the four week assault on Yemen stated Tuesday that "Operation Decisive Storm" will conclude at midnight, but it was not immediately clear whether the announcement will bring a sustained halt to the fighting or relief to Yemenis facing humanitarian crisis and siege.

"Last week two prominent Ukrainian opposition figures were gunned down in broad daylight. They join as many as ten others who have been killed or committed suicide under suspicious circumstances just this year."
